This time there will be no "city battlemap" option. I need something new so as not to lose inspiration. However, in the next polls I will return this option.

2020-11-02 09:06:13 +0000 UTCOpen Terrain provide great backdrops to superimpose smaller maps over. Gives room for PCs to move around without edging off a border. My personal vote is for desert, it seems underserved.

2020-11-01 19:14:41 +0000 UTCI love "Open Terrain" because this is where a lot of random encounters happen. My favorite such maps are actually tiles I can glue together, but just having a 50x50 forest+trail map is still a big deal.

2020-11-01 18:01:36 +0000 UTCI'm running a exploration campaign with lots of varied environments (forests, swamps, hills, plains, mountain) and having something like the open terrain maps would be GREAT for all the random encounters. It's hard to make generic terrain tactically interesting on the fly... ... But I can also get how "open terrain" might not be helpful for inspiration. Still, might be a fun challenge?
