What ideas come to you after reading of the Nebutori?

2022-07-07 16:18:03 +0000 UTCI am thinking about it, I fear that any plot with nebutori would resemble Revenge. If you went with jerk girl becoming fat. Perhaps one story is a woman casting the spell thinking it a joke and then gaining weight and unknowingly making other women around her fat. Another could be a nebutori going around and making women fat and encouraging them to be fat positive.

2022-07-03 21:49:18 +0000 UTCIt could also be that a tanuki or kitsune cast a spell on a woman, or she read a spell from a spell book and unknowingly made herself and others fat or a yokai called nebutori (for her appearance, a very fat woman in a revealing kimono) magicked a woman into fatness and has her make other women become fat from her presence.

2022-07-03 18:59:57 +0000 UTCActually by beer goggles, I meant that the nebutori was to explain how the beautiful woman a drunken man slept with became so fat. Beer goggles means being so drunk that an ugly woman appears sexy, it's not a nice term as you can tell.

2022-07-03 17:03:23 +0000 UTCIt's an obscure concept so one wouldn't be doing a lot of research looking into it. Reasearch time would probably be less than a half hour. So you can interpet it in a number of ways. Some works make the nebutori a yokai who makes other women fat with her presence.

2022-07-03 10:30:12 +0000 UTCThere actually is a fat disease is in Japanese mythology called Nebutori (Lit. Sleeping fatty). It makes women fat in their sleep and can be spread to other women. So there is technically a fat disease, it just exists in myth. This was used to explain what we now call beer goggles or women gaining weight during marriage. Think you would use that for a future work Annonnxyz? Like for a comic or extra material? Or even reference it in the spells that Cass has?

I admire how you’ve put Alexandria’s weight gain in perspective in contrast to her skinny friends. Alexandria isn’t merely chubby but unconditionally fat - which works for me. Nice work with the dark hair girl in particular, her expression, body language and her astute tone conveys a very judgmental attitude. Sara might have the impression Lexi has some kind of disease, however I sense dark haired girl isn’t so lenient and believes Lexi’s burgeoning figure is her own fault. Nice shot of Alexandria’s shirt riding up her back, and that’s quite a pudgy roll circling her thick waist. Kudos X 10!

Love the shots from all angles to show how big she has grown from the start of the comic. Can’t wait to see the next part! Good work!
