Bands and singers who belt are more appreciated here in the Philippines because I guess most of us can sing or hold a tune. You can go to a random place in ph and you'll find people drinking and belting songs in karaoke. We find PPOP cringey before because the early groups really tried so hard to copy kpop groups but that changed since SB19 and BINI. They were formed using a similar training system in kpop but they did a great job in making their own identities and making songs that feels more filipino. That's for me tho..
