There've been some interviews/vlives where Soyeon said that songs are written well before release, but it didn't fit their current release and it got used later. A producer that's worked with Soyeon has said she'll patiently let a song marinate for MONTHS to a year before releasing... Whether someone loves or hates Idle's music, it's very clear to see that their fingerprints are all over their work. But yeah, "Weather" or "Quit" was in competition with Dumdi Dumdi, and Soyeon ended up using it for her solo. SUPPOSEDLY, Nxde was supposed to come after Hwaa, but they lost Soojin and got shelved for a year, so they wrote Tomboy and the I Never Die album first before releasing Nxde. Yuqi's song with Minnie on her solo album didn't make the cut for Idle's releases, so she used it for her album.
