Jyp allows any artist to contribute to their group. They are encouraged to do so. As of now only Chaeryeong has show any interest in song writting and she has confessed that she does not yet have what it takes to write great lyrics. It's not JYPE "not letting them" Fans need to wake up to the fact some singers and idols just either don't have an interest in doing it or the talent to do it.

2023-02-28 18:37:08 +0000 UTCI mean, we're not JUST kpop fans (only got into Kpop in 2020). It's as simple as they released a song and we didn't vibe with it, nothing deeper to it than that honestly. I'm sure a ton of people loved it and a ton of people didn't. That's the beauty of music, we all get to form our own opinions about songs.

It was released right before they went to LA to kick off their US tour. It was meant to be performed and promoted on US TV shows Good Morning CITYNAME and Late Night TV shows. It's in English in the Taylor Swift pop genre to introduce ITZY to the US General public that watches those shows and would TURN OFF any kpop or foreign language songs or change the channel. BOYS LIKE YOU and ITZY were unfortunately impacted by bad timing. As the Itaewon halloween tragedy required all promoting on TV or shows to be canceled to observe a national period of morning. So Boys Like You got ZERO US promotion as a result, it was performed at the concert and it was a HUGE hit with the US fans. It is definately not a KPOP song and it isn't meant for people who are already fans of ITZY. It was meant to bring them and KPOP new fans. People may hear that and give their Korean songs a chance, or listen to their English versions of their title tracks and become fans. Just bad luck. You are kpop fans so yes, this song was not aimed at you at all.

2022-12-01 02:24:54 +0000 UTCLia is a main , Yeji is a lead, the rest are sub .. and the Adlibs done by yeji and lia im not sure abt ryujin but i think I heard her doing a short one ITZY unfortunately have zero control of their songs jype don’t let them write or produce anything however in this album the girls said that lia made some adjustments for freaky and gave the girls pointers on how to sing it and it turned out great so i hope they free them and let them produce and write their songs.

2022-12-01 00:42:09 +0000 UTCYes Yeji is the lead vocalist she has an amazing voice, my favorite voice in itzy tbh and yeji was doing the adlibs in Freaky. Yeji has a really deep husky like voice which is why i love her voice. Chae's vocals in boys like you!!! Honestly I've had this opinion for a long time... I think Yeji should be a main vocalist along with Lia and I think Chae should be a Lead vocalist..
