Next UK Series

I am loving the UK content, and am looking at the next series to replace Ghosts

Sadly Yonderland didn't set the world on fire like I hoped, but I want to know what my Patreons are interested in seeing next.

This poll isnt to decide the next series, its just a way for you all to weigh in on the next big commitment for the channel

Idk whether cringe comedy is to your taste, but there is a wonderful show that stars Jim Howick (Pat in Ghosts) and Katherine Parkinson from Taskmaster Series 10 called Here We Go. It's currently shooting its third series. It started as a standalone pilot called Pandemonium which took place during the lockdowns. All the episodes are filmed home movie-style by their son and is told in anachronic order. You'll recognize a few familiar faces among the guests.

It's looking very likely

From a reaction point of view there’s a lot more to say about Derry Girls, and it’s much funnier imo 🤷‍♂️

Yeah another vote for Inside No. 9!

I don’t disagree with you but I will say that Black Books is pretty much all Dylan Moran’s creation and Linehan is only credited because the producer wanted him to have a co-writer on his first series. The second and third series don’t have his name on them at all.

Traitors would be amazing! There's even uncloaked with Ed Gamble for you to get stuck into as well

Tom

Yay derry girls!! 😁

Dora Riggs

How the hell is Peep Show not winning this?! Bloody Derry Girls really?🤦‍♂️

As much as I might enjoy you watching Father Ted/Black Books/The IT Crowd, it's worth noting that the creator Graham Linehan has been very vocal with anti-trans rhetoric for a while. Whether you feel that, that would impact your decision to react to those shows, I'll leave that up to you to consider. Outside of that, I'd be interested in you watching Christopher Ecclestone's series of Doctor Who! (the first series of New Who from 2005)

Inside number 9 is excellent (episode 1 has the Captain in it, as well as Tim Key, Katherine Parkinson and other familiar faces), and it would lead you to the League of Gentleman which is super dark. I think you'd like Peep Show too. Personally my recent favourite is Alma's Not Normal, which you might like as you seem to really appreciate women comics and this has four leading women roles (also written by a woman, Sophie Willan) There are quite a few Taskmaster alum, and this also has an episode where the Captain appears. Just two series. 6 eps.

Traitors would be soooooo good!!

Samuel

Inside No 9 is a great choice. Lots of Taskmaster alumni, too.

HappyGoLucky

Omg the Traitors would be AMAZING no one reacts to it

Emma Samuel

Inside no 9 is great

Liam

Some of those options 🤣🤣🤣

Derry Girls, fleabag, the IT Crowd. Not British but Mike Flanagan’s Netflix series if you haven’t seen them, especially Hill house & Midnight Mass. And I don’t think Eastenders or any soaps do ‘seasons’, they basically just go constantly all year round

Stephen Raitt

Traitors, Father Ted and Derry Girls get my votes, all absolutely fantastic shows and would be great reaction content.

Eliza Thomas

I'll second that. Some of the best TV this century.

You'd love any letter of QI 😂 Barry' story (a dog).. I died laughing at Alan's reaction of the fact. Jo Brand is amazing in every episode. But Alan goes insane.

If you like black mirror I'd suggest the show inside no 9 as it's a 30 min black comedy anthology series and it has quite a lot of people that have been on taskmaster and ghosts!
