Returning Welsh Dragon Hero - Chapter 22

Asia looked at her target with complete focus.

Her hand was steady, knees bent, arms at ready.

A paper scoop in one hand, a clear plastic bag filled with a little water in the other.

"EEEEEE!" With a fierce battle cry, Asia's arm shot out.

Balup!

And completely missed the goldfish.

"Aaah, little miss, that's a shame, but you can always try your luck again." The shop vender said, trying not a chuckle at Asia's attempt.

"Uuuuum." Asia pouted.

"There, there." Issei patted her head, causing Asia to smile once more. "Do you want to give it another try, or check out something else?"

"Hmm, I wanted to get the fishie, but maybe the Lord didn't intended to have it." Asia said with resigned smile.

Issei blinked at that, his eyebrows rising a smidge, before he looked normal and smiling once more.

"Come on, how about we get some taiyaki? I saw a stand with him a bit back. Looked really good too." Issei gestured with his thumb.

"Yes." Asia smiled and nodded, and she turned back to the goldfish in the small pool one last time. "Bye, fishies!" She waved at them.

They didn't wave back. They were regular fishes.

Issei and Asia easily found the food stand and bought the taiyaki.

The two walked next to each other, Issei holding his wrapped taiyaki while Asia was blowing at her own.

Issei found them a bench to sit on, a bit out of the way as to watch the ongoing festival without being overwhelmed by the noise while still close enough to easily get back into it.

As they sat down side by side, Issei's eyes was on Asia, while acting like he was watching people at the festival go about their day.

Asia finally took up the courage to take a bit off the hot taiyaki.

"HMM!" She hummed in surprise and happiness, eyes widening at the delicious sweet treat.

Seeing Asia digging into her snack, Issei smile a bit more content and bit into his taiyaki, letting the sweet taste fill his mouth.

The two sat quietly for a while, just enjoying the atmosphere and the peaceful air.

Gorou and Miki Hyoudou were also walking around in the festival, having went to bar and drink with some of the locals that they befriended. Issei kept an eye on them with his magical senses. They seemed fine so far, and the people with his parents he took a look at. Just normal people here to celebrate, trying to cheerful and enjoy their time.

"Asia," Issei spoke after they finished their snack. "Are you okay?"

"Eh?" Asia looked back at Issei alarmed.

That confirmed it for Issei. He had suspected for a while that something was bothering the blonde ex-nun, but he wasn't sure if that was the case, or if he was seeing things, where there was none.

"Ah, y-yeah, Issei!" Asia said back, looking down at her lap, not meeting Issei's eyes. .

"You kinda seemed more... wistful the closer this holiday was coming to end. Was there something you wanted to do, or some place you wanted to visit?" He asked.

"No, it's..." Asia trailed off, not sure how to say what's on her mind, or if she even should.

It would be too selfish.

She wanted Issei to stay. To not leave for God knows how long, or if he... if he'll even return.

But she clearly knew and could see that he loved the girl from the other world, Ritsuka Fujimaru.

She could see the joy and love he had on his face whenever he spoke of Ritsuka, so how could she bare to stop him from trying to reach the girl who saved the other world.

"Asia-chan, if there's something bothering you that you want to tell Issei, just straight up tell him. That boy is too dumb to understand hints. Trust me."

Asia remembered Mama Miki telling her that once, after she looked a little sad while Issei was talking about another story involving Ritsuka. It reminded her of the deadline to his departure getting closer.

"Umm!" Asia started to speak, but lost her nerves. Looking at Issei, he was smiling, patiently waiting for her. She looked back down. "Issei, you're... leaving soon, right? Three days from now?"

"Yeah," Issei said slowly, in a gently tone as he nodded.

"Do you... know how long you'll be gone?" Asia slowly peeked back toward the boy who meant so much to her.

"...No." Issei looked forward at the people walking about. "I'm not sure, but it shouldn't be long. At least I'll try to make sure I spend as little time as possible away." He looked back with a cheerful grin. "The first round trip is to make sure how much time passes in travel time. In theory, optimistically, with no time passing in the Dimensional Gap, it should be instant. Imagine it, I step out, and then step back in again. 'Ta dah! I'm back!'" He said playfully.

Asia giggled at the mental imagine.

"Yes," she said. "I pray that would happen."

"You're going to love Ritsuka, I know it." Issei said.

"Would she... like to be friends with me?" Asia asked, unsure of how that meeting would go.

"Oh she would glomp you." Issei said bluntly.

"Eh?!"

"She would hug you, shouting about how cute you are, and not let go."

"Issei-san!" Asia cried out blushing, switching to formal speak as she was flustered.

Issei laughed out loud, with Asia pouting heavily, before hitting him in the shoulder.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop." He said between chuckles.

The two fell into a more comfortable silence.

"Can you... tell me more about her?" Asia asked.

"Sure." Issei nodded.

And so Asia spend her time with her friend listening to stories about a mischievous auburn red-haired girl from another world.

===x===

"Perhaps," Arthur said with a pant. "We should consider ending things for today."

Vali paused, shifting his stance from fighting to a bit more relaxed one, while still battle ready.

"You can't keep going?" Vali asked, and Arthur really struggled not to say whined.

"I feel a bit... strained." Arthur ended up saying. "I must admit, I've never used Ruler's ability this extensively for this long."

Both Strongest Holy Sword User and the White Dragon Emperor were drenched in sweat as they had been fighting for hours, almost literally from sunrise to sunset.

And they had been doing this for five days straight with the only breaks being food and sleep.

"So you can keep going?" Vali asked, focusing on the only important info he got from that.

"Didn't you promise to go to the festivals in Erimo with the Hyoudous?" Arthur asked.

"I'll go tomorrow. The festival on the Inner Side should be more active in the last day. It should give the Hyoudous something good to see." Vali said dismissively.

"Have you been avoiding them because Issei told you, Ms. Hyoudou was upset at yours and Issei's match, the destruction it caused, and wants to talk to you?" Arthur suggested with an amused smile.

"...If you can make a joke, then you can go for another three hours." Vali raised his fists up.

He just wanted to focus on getting stronger and his skill higher. He definitely wasn't ignoring the possible scolding that human woman would have for him. There was no reason for him to be afraid.

"Wow, you really are that scared of Mrs. Hyoudou reprimanding you?" Arthur said with an amused smirk. All the sparring had broken his elegant prince persona as he was too tired to be formal.

"I, who am about to awaken."

"THAT'S AN INSANE OVERREACTION, VALI!"

===x===

Eventually the training session for resistance against Sacred Gear canceling abilities came to an end for the day.

Vali finished his shower, got dressed and went back to the Grigori HQ in Japan to be seen there, so Azazel would think he knews Vali's travels and movements.

His guardian and father-figure is a smart man, but he can really be blindsided when he doesn't consider something important, or he was too busy not paying attention to the people around him, because some project or something interesting caught his attention.

Vali sat on the edge of one of the skyscrapers of Shinjuku, on a Grigori owned building, watching the people down on the streets, moving about like ants.

"You've been very quiet for a while now, Albion." Vali commented.

[Simply focusing on the feel of the Longinus being cut off from you, and how to fix that issue. Reconnecting seems like the most obvious solution, but maybe something else can be tried while I attempt to undo the canceling effect, and restore the Divine Dividing's power in such battle.]

"That's not what I meant."

[Then speak clearly on what you mean.] Albion bluntly said back, telling Vali to not bother with subtly.

"You've been oddly too calm and quiet since that talk with Issei and Ddraig on the circumstances that lead to him creating Nega-Supremacy." Vali stated. "You don't feel angry. I figured Ddraig having such an memorable battle with another foe would irk you a bit."

[We're not children. I would not be angry that Ddraig had an epic battle with another opponent.] Albion huffed and chuckled, before growing somber. [Rather I understand the heaviness of the ordeal he had to go through.]

"Ordeal?" Vali asked confused.

[Yes. I wasn't sure at first. The first two titles were a big clue, but it's when he said that name at the end that cemented my deduction.] Albion explained.

"Hmm, titles? If I recall, Ddraig called his opponent the 'Primordial Sea' and the 'Goddess of Beginnings'. You know who that refers to?" Vali asked.

[Not may Goddesses can claim to hold even one of those titles, but only one can claim both.]

"That 'Nammu' he mentioned? I haven't heard of a Goddess with that name before." Vali admitted, then again if a god who wasn't active or was a minor deity then Vali wouldn't have known them out of hand.

[Nammu is another name for Tiamat.] Albion said.

Vali's eyes widened in surprise.

"One of the Five Great Dragon Kings?" Vali said, before he thought for a moment. "I remember that she used to be a goddess a long time ago, but was she really that strong?"

[There are many beings in the world today, that once upon a time, were a step or two below the Infinite Dragon God and the Apocalypse Dragon.] Albion could feel the shock rippling through Vali, as he listened intently to the White Dragon. [Tiamat had lost almost all her power. Even now with her position as a Dragon King, that isn't because she hadn't tried to regain her lost power, but because that's as far as she can raise. She can not grow any further as a Dragon, nor can she regain any divinity. That was the result of the divine war that created the Mesopotamian Pantheon.]

"I see." Vali said, looking forward into the city, as he collected his thought. "There's a connection between Ddraig and Tiamat?" He concluded.

[She is the one being that he wouldn't wish to harm. That he fought a version of her so seriously, even in another world, that must have taken hell of a toll on him. For him to push himself so hard, to the point of even allowing himself create a move that mimic my own powers, even tangentially, it must have been hell of a dire situation.] Albion explained.

As Vali listened to that, he wondered once more what was the adventure, his rival when on in that other world, was really like.

Tomorrow can't come fast enough. They can go to the festival to appease Issei's parents, let that nun girl play around and tire herself.

Then he and Issei can chat alone, before their rematch the day after tomorrow.

People talk over drinks, right? He should get the booze he found in Azazel's personal safe.

Vali nodded to himself at that idea.

===x===

Meanwhile back at Kuoh Town, Sona was having a very, very stressful and bad day.

As usual, she had stayed in Kuoh Town during her holidays to avoid her clingy sister (which sometimes worked), or to help in organizing a local event (thus if her sister visited, she's be busy).

This year, it was one of the rare time, that out of pure probability where luck and the stars aligned to torment her.

Sona was free during Golden Week this time.

Serafall also freed up her schedule.

Rias was nowhere to be seen, as she has went on a family vacation, while giving her the lousiest message possible.

"Hey Sona-chan! I'm going on a beach trip with my Nii-san. I thought shold tell you so you won't be too surprised, in one of my latest Contracts I ended up making a Magical Girl. Her name is Mil-tan. She's pretty nice, so be nice to her. Okay, bye~." Click.

Sona was going to kill her. She was really contemplating and writing up a plan on killing Rias Gremory.

Seriously, who the hell gives someone a warning at the literal last second like that?

At the very least the source of her worry was now a known element, and could be monitored.

Mirei Asano a.k.a. Mil-tan a.k.a. ...Pretty Knight.

Sona had the displeasure of having witnessed her a few times fighting off some rogue youkai, or stray devil. She thought it was just some magic using human with a flair for the dramatic.

She should have followed her instincts that screamed at her that the catchphrases were too familiar, and not just a quirk.

It was fine though. Serafall would be too obsessed with Sona to notice anything else.

As long as Sona held her sister's attention, and they didn't cross paths with Asano-san, then everything will be alright.

Serafall dragged Sona into an anime shop. That was fine and usual.

Serafall gushed and talked about some magical girl figurine. Again, still tolerable.

Serafall and another woman in a cool beige coat and purple hair in a long pony tail approached the same figurine aisle at the same time.

...Noooo.

"Ah, is that a Limited Edition Date Clothes Kinomoto Sakuya from Cardclapper Sakuya?!" Serafall exclaimed.

"That's actually the version 2 of that outfit from the movie rather than from the show, nyo." Noted... Asano!?

No, no, no, no, no! Why is she here? How is she here? What are the odds!? There are dozen of anime shops in Kuoh Town thanks to Rias. Why did she have to be in this one!?

And worse, in a follow up call, Rias insisted it was "transformed the client into a Magical Girl with magic powers", not "grant magical abilities for a limited time".

"Ah, you noticed that. I see you're a fellow Magical Girl connoisseur." Serafall said with an approving nod. "Where you also here to get it?"

"Ah, no. I'm here for the Tokyo Moo Moo Special DVD Re-Release Edition with Special Commentary from the director and the manga author." Asano said with a firm nod.

Serafall gave her a measuring look.

Sona checked her phone.

"Sona-sama, sorry but we lost her. Some contracts from important clients and we couldn't delay. She should be close to the third interception by the Cut Cut Arcade. So just don't head there."

The message came too late. She checked it too late.

"...Bird Milk Best Girl?" Sera asked with an extended hand.

"Bird Milk Best Girl." Mil-tan shook Serafall's hand.

The two nodded approvingly at each other.

Sona was starting to wonder if it was possible for a devil to get high blood pressure.

===x===

Once more we're on another mission, eh, Ritsuka?

And it seems some Demon Pillars were left over from the Timeless Temple, the ones the ran away. Like Baal.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at that. They hyst had to be sore losers, didn't they.

The mission this time is to some place in Central Asia and... underground?

Oh boy, cramped caves and claustrophobia.

Hmm, maybe I should wrap my arm around Ritsuka all casual like. You know, for protection from rocks.

We make our way to the location and...

Okay, a bit more spacious than a cave. Holy crap, I really need to listen to Da Vinci's briefings better. This place is as big as a few dozen baseball fields and their parking lots!

Also lots of grass and stuff. Nice breeze and something acting like the sky. Really nice Journey to the Center of the Earth vibe.

So Da Vinci named this place "Agartha", after something related to Granny Loli Helena. Neat.

Ghost Mash appear (nice to see her, even if it's sad) that several of our Servants have gone missing.

Because of course they did.

Alright, let's see what this Event is all about.

Ah.

Astolfo and d'Eon snuck into the Rayshift with us. How...?

Never mind, not important.

Honestly, this is probably Astolfo's stupid idea. Then again, he loses his brain in his skirt.

"Astolfo, why are you frowning?"

"You know, I have this feeling that if Issei was here, he would have said something mean, like me losing my thinking in skirt. Which would be really rude as its a combat skirt. What does he know about fashion?"

More than you do you pony tail dumbass!

"Astolfo!" d'Eon cried out, looking shocked and offended for some reason, while looking at Ritsuka in worry.

Ritsuka threw her head back and laughed.

"D-Damn. That's really good, Astolfo." Ritsuka said while chuckling.

No, it's not. He's a hack comedian.

"I'm not a hack!" Astolfo shouted, surprising d'Eon.

"What?" The Lily Knight said.

"Sorry, just felt like defending my honor all of a sudden."

D'Eon looked at the himbo paladin confused. Ritsuka just chuckled and we went on our way.

Okay, monsters, monsters, more monsters. Easy-peasy so far.

Huh, we found a boy.

It's a Servant. Of course he is. He looks like a main character in a new seasonal anime.

He even got that shy, not confident in himself yet persona and all.

Wait. That's Fergus!?

Freaky.

Also, he's really polite, mild mannered and respects women.

Okay, that is freaky.

Now, back to the Singularity.

We are attacked by a group of warrior women. Because of Fergus.

Uh huh, I knew it. His perversions were so strong it went back in time so women would automatically accuse him of something wrong he did/will do.

Truly he is a hero of heroes. I could only aspire to that level of sexual assault fear and accusations.

Fergus stays back with me to defend Ritsuka. Something about how he's too scared of women to fight them. ...This is seriously weird.

We reached a village of Amazonian women. Muscle Mommies. And they keeping men as slaves and in cages.

You know, some men would pay for that treatment.

"Any man that would want to pay to get treat like a slave is seriously freaky." Astolfo said in agreement.

"Astolfo, keep the commentary to a minimum, please." D'Eon said, exasperated.

And then the Amazon Queen came.

She looks pissed. Kept saying a lot of things.

Ghost Mash says she's a Berserker. I see, so Xenia the Raging Princess. Well, Queen.

Then one of the Muscle Mommies tells Xenia about something, who get more pissed off and leaves.

Well, that's convenient.

We fight what's left of the Muscle Mommies, and in comes the cavalery.

...Hey. Hey, Ritsuka, are you seeing what I'm seeing?

"The absolute shadiest sea captain." Ritsuka notes as we look at our savior.

Welp, Shady Captain Rider tells us that Agartha is under a matriarchy, and he's the leader of the resistance fighting to free the men.

Wait...

Wait a minute.

A group of men enslaves by women, fighting to beat the matriarchy?

Is this like a... feminist sex novel?

This place is weird.

And it's kidnapping men kidnapped from around the world.

It literally rains men here.

Either way, time to start the usual plan when dealing with a Singularity with factions.

Destroy every faction till ours is left victorious.

First target, Pirate Chicks. Yay.

Hmm, I'm starting to get sleepy.

Ah! I'm awake.

Right. Da Vinci is doing some exposition on Ys, the City of Water and how it does dragged under the sea.

Okay where's the magic pool rings? Also Drake looks possessed.

Anyways, we fight Da Hat. She and her Pirate Bitches try to win by shooting at Ritsuka at time. I parry that shit.

The Pirate Bitches divide by mitosis. I've seen enough scifi horror shit to know this place gotta burn.

"Woah, young lady, did you just block bullets?" Shady Captain Rider asks.

"Catch Dahut now! Questions later!" Ritsuka commaned.

Predictably, the dam breaks, or is it floodgates open? Which ever it is, the place is overrun with water.

The lost child we found earlier was behind this. Shocker.

Oh, they're also an empress and they forgives Ritsuka for treating her like a child.

This cheeky brat is just asking for a correction. Also she invites us to her city should we survive.

Seriously needs correction.

Anyways, one faction down, two more to go.

Next is the Nightless City.

We need to crossdress to infiltrate it. Of course we do. Sigh.

What I'm gonna hate even more is that I know Astolfo's dumb plan will work for this place.

And of course this works.

Now, what makes the men stuck here?

...

Holy shit, everyone's here a snitch!

"Okay, every guy in this city deserves a stitch." Ritsuka frowned.

Yeah, you tell'em, Ritsuka.

"Can you and my imaginary Issei stop encouraging each other?" Astolfo shuddered.

I'm not imaginary!

Anyways we fight some crazy S-Ladies and run around.

So let's summaries.

Pirate Harbor has Pirate Chicks. Night City has S-Ladies, and the Amazon Jungle has Muscle Mommies.

Hot damn, someone seriously into getting dommed made this place.

This is a masochist's wet dream.

Anyways we do the tried and tested method of "get captured to meet the leader" and...

"Holy chocolate!" Ritsuka cried out upon seeing the dark skin advisor to Torturer Loli Empress.

I'm with you, Ritsuka. I'm with you.

Dayum.

Anyways, where were we? Ah, discussing philosophy. An honored tradition.

So the empress's true identity was was Little China Empress. Okay.

Alright, normal fighting. Normal fight.

Okay things are going a bit too well—

CRASH!

Ah, there it is—

What the fuck, Heracles! How much steroids and cocaine did you snort!?

Anyways, Swole Steroids Heracles leaves like he arrives. Crashing through the walls, and Scaredy Chocolate Storyteller join us. Nice.

Scaredy Chocolate Storyteller is also Scheherazade. Sweet. ASMR me to sleep storytelling lady.

Ritsuka snorted. When the others looked at her after fighting the lamias at the Résistance camp she just shook her head.

"Nothing, just all the times Astolfo mentioned an imaginary Issei, made me think of a joke he'd have made if he was here." Ritsuka chuckled.

Heh.

Hmm, I'm feeling sleepy again.

...

We woke up to flames.

Shady Captain Rider gathers up the men, gives a speech and encourages them to keep fighting.

Ritsuka... Someone's making us dance to their tune. A mastermind is fucking around.

"Da Vinci, did you get any closer to guessing who Rider's identity is?" Ritsuka asked to her comms.

"We have some guesses, narrowing it down. I don't want to say anything for now. But Ritsuka, your gut instinct is likely correct. Just be careful." Da Vinci answered.

We take a ship. We ride on a river, fighting some Muscles Mommies as we go on our way.

And it seems the plan is to beat Swole Steroids Heracles on the way to the Amazon Jungle HQ.

Swole Steroids Heracles arrives.  Xenia the Raging Queen arrives. Shady Captain Rider's identity s revealed, Columbus.

He is upgraded to Scum Captain Rider. I don't say it out loud, but sorry Ritsuka that's how I feel this guy actually is.

The ship breaks.

I shield Ritsuka with my body. It's so difficult to move.

Boost. Boost. Boost. Transfer.

I give my energy to Ritsuka to ensure she's safe.

A Water World Palace underwater.

I'm so sleepy.

...

Huh? Swole Steroids Heracles, what are you doing here?

Ritsuka contracted him?

Boost. Boost. Boost. Transfer.

...

"Everything was going as planned, but then you suddenly contracted Megalos. It shouldn't have been possible. You should have been dead several times over. How is this fair!?" Scum Captain Rider was ugly crying. Good. Get fucked, trash. "I just wanted to make it rich selling slaves to whomever wanted them. With this world my dream would come true! That's just normal in the world, people are enslaved and then sold. Why am I the bad guy for doing what was normal during my time?"

Because all the other Servants got with the times, you Scummy Old Captain!

"It might have been normal in your time, but it's wrong now. That's the way the world sees it, that's the order of the world now. Naturally you of the old order would be seen as an enemy. With everything you're capable of, you could have picked up a different path now. But since you are determined to be the King of Slaves, you can take your title to the grave." Ritsuka didn't offer mercy, especially after he tried to betray us.

Oh, Xenia the Raging Queen also died at some point.

Hmm, now what? All the Servants of Agartha were defeated, so where's the Demon Pillar?

...No, wait. Not all Agartha Servant were defeated.

Sigh.

"The story, is finally complete." Declared the demure Scheherazade.

Why did it have to be you, Scaredy Chocolate Storyteller?

Exposition commences. Backstory and motivations explained, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Wow, Scaredy Chocolate Storyteller really is that scared of death? I mean, I get it, I'm scared of it too but—

The whole of Agartha flies into the sky. Scaredy Chocolate Storyteller intended to have it colony dropped into a city so people realize magic is real, and weaken magic to destroy the Servant Summoning System.

Damn.

Also, no fucking way I'll let you do that!

If Servants can no longer be summoned then I can't protect Ritsuka.

"No matter what I'll stop you." Ritsuka spoke with iron determination. "If you destory the Servant Summoning System, then humanity will be left defenseless. ...More than that, someone I and Mash deeply care about won't find their way back. I, absolutely, can't allow you to succeed. Above all, I won't allow you to cause a catastrophe."

Well said, Ritsuka! Huh? Who's this person?

The Demon God Phenex appears. He monologues. Megalos beats him. He revives. Megalos keeps killing him.

We fight Scheherazade and she keeps summoning the different dommy flavored female Servants we beat because they are part of her story now, thus Noble Phantasm.

"Phenex has told me of the one who voluntarily disappeared from the Throne of his own accord." Scheherazade spoke and silence grasped the battlefield in a choke, even as the wind zipped by us with Agartha flying in the air. "How I envy him. Things could be so much easier if I could do that to."

"..."

...

[...]

"You don't need to say anything, Master. She has no idea of the fury she just incited in us all." Ghost Mash spoke.

"W-What?" Scheherazade blinked in surprise.

"Scheherazade... those were the wrong words." Ritsuka said.

[BOOST]

"Dragon Booster Limited is working at 500% overcapacity. It has successfully actualized the Red Dragon's Power Multiplication." Da Vinci declared.

[BOOST]

"Scheherazade , your envy is wrong." Ritsuka was resolute.

[BOOST]

"Your story is wrong."

[BOOST]

"You are wrong."

[BOOST]

"No. No! This energy signature." Phenex screams. "That's impossible! That's inconceivable. He's not here. The Red Dragon Emperor isn't here. He's not in this universe! So why his power resonating here!" He shouts in terror, even far more than again the Megalos that was constantly killing it.

"He's right here." Ritsuka clenches her gauntleted fist. "And you're all about to lose."

I knew Ritsuka intention right away.

"FERGUS!" She shouts.

[TRANSFER]

"Eh, this power...?" The teenage Fergus looks on in awe and confusion.

"Fergus." Ritsuka met his eyes and commanded. "Destroy this entire island. Rip it apart outta the sky!"

"That!... Heh, I see." Fergus stabbed his Spiral Sword. Little China Empress is apparently alive and helping somehow. "Then I will follow your guidance, Ritsuka!"

Fergus is giving some speech about pursing the things he loves that makes life worth living. Fighting and women.

Based.

Fergus gives out an encouraged war cry. "Rainbow! Spill forth where the spiral leads! Caledfwlch Caladbolg!!"

And thus the story of Agartha ended.

We are all falling, with some Servants flying through some means and others are not.

Oh! And then Grandma Loli Helena comes with a UFO to picks us all up.

Because of course she did.
