Full Title: Why the Heck was I Reincarnated in DxD without a Cheat Power!?

Grayfia Lucifuge looked down at Rias' Bishop, whom she first saw in that video call the redheaded Gremory Heir sent to her brother, asking for help in how to deal with the girl.

"Ah, you're that wily Bishop, Atsuko Hyoudou, I presume." Grayfia said giving the girl a look that spoke of someone that doesn't enjoy dealing with nonsense. 

A look that Atsuko naturally ignored.

"Dammit, I didn't even make any account on Devil Net, how did the advertisement companies sell my private information already."  Atsuko cried out, making Grayfia blink at the seeming non-sequitur. "Guess that's the Devils for you." 

"...I'm not a telemarketer." Grayfia said with a dry look. 

"Ah, reverse psychology. Smart." Atsuko nodded to herself. "So what are you selling that I'm refusing?"

Slowly, Grayfia's expression started to fall from deadpanned to stoically annoyed. 

"Atsuko, that's Grayfia Lucifuge," Rias said deciding to take control of the situation lest Atsuko pushes things too far. "She is my brother's wife and Queen. She was sent here for me." 

"As Lady Rias said," Grayfia continued. "I am Satan Sirzech Lucifer's Maid, his Queen and his wife." Her tone seemed to specify that was the order of importance. "And right now I'm acting on behalf of Lady Rias' brother, Ms. Atsuko."

"...Damn, Lucifer is a man of culture." Atsuko said in awe. 

"Quite." Grayfia nodded in agreement at Atsuko's tone, although she didn't get what hyperactive girl was referencing. 

An odd silence fell on the room for a moment. 

"Aaaaaand sent!" Issei said as he dramatically pressed a button on his phone, with the click sounding suitably loud due to the atmosphere.

Rias started to giggle. She just couldn't hold onto worries and anxieties around the Hyoudou siblings. 

"Good Job, Ise!" Atsuko said the phrase in English, while giving him a thumbs up. Issei gave a thumbs up back. 

"And what was that suppose to do?" Grayfia raised an eyebrow, not thrown off this time as she caught onto the siblings' pace. It wasn't the first time she deal with quirky or hyperactive people. 

"We--" Atsuko began with a proud grin. 

Three polite knocks came from the door. 

"Issei, is everything okay? Is Atsuko there with you?" Irina said as she slowly opened the door and blinked at the scene inside.  

"Ise, you hold the fort." Atsuko said as she went outside to talk to Irina, closing the door behind her. 

"I fail to see what either of you think you can do." Grayfia said with her usual stoic bored stare. "Even if you got that Exorcist to aid you, which I can't believe you have one living with you, do you think you can beat me in a fight?" 

"F-f-fight?" Issei said in panic. Dammit, Atsuko, you didn't explain what the plan is to me! Issei shouted in his head. 

He then quickly took a breathe, and thought on the situation. 

Buchou had come to him asking that he sleep with her. Okay awesome, and then Atsuko crashed that party...double hot. 

However, there was something underneath that, that Atsuko noticed. 

I really need to be quicker on the uptake on these things.

For some reason, Rias came to him to have sex with her--

No, Issei realized. To take her virginity. With an extreme effort and focus Issei push his excitement down. What does is that phrasing important?

"I suppose you're not too foolish." Grayfia said, ignoring whatever internal monologue Issei was going though. "Lady Rias, I believe you have dallied around long enough. Will you please allow me to return you home?" Grayfia said. It was not a request. 

"Issei, thank you and Atsuko, for you humoring me." Rias said beginning to walk toward the Devil Maid. 

"If you are in a tense situation that isn't life threatening, it's important to calm down, and not over react, or overthink. Take a breathe. Find what's wrong with the situation in front of you, with the information you have and act on it."

Atsuko's advice came to mind once more. 

Rias was stressed about something. Something related to sex. 

Who have sex? Couples!

Does Rias have someone? No. A potential someone. 

A fiancé. 

Issei raised an arm block Rias, making her blink in surprise, while giving her a reassuring smile. 

"Buchou came here stressed about her engagement situation." Issei faced Grayfia with a serious face. His statement shocked Rias as she didn't tell him what's this situation was about. "So she needs us by her side."

"Lady Rias' reputation as well as her family's would be harmed by sleeping with a Low Class Pawn and Bishop." Grayfia said back. "Even if one is the Red Dragon Emperor." She said eying him up and down. 

Issei wanted to cover himself, even if he was wearing shirt and shorts. 

Rias frowned, about to step in and declare how it was her body, and she can do what she wanted with it. 

"Then it's good thing, we're not going to sleep with her." Atsuko said dramatically as she came back into the room, hands on her hips. "Unless you count cuddling." She said cheekily.

Just then several teleportation circles lit up as the other members of Rias' Peerage arrived. 

"Issei~ what's the emergency--Ah." Akeno said in a playful tone before she spotted Grayfia. "Lady Grayfia," she bowed, before looking at the situation. "Oh, Rias. This is about that?" 

"Lady Grayfia." Kiba bowed, while looked a bit on guard, even if he kept his polite smile.

"Ms. Grayfia." Koneko politely greeted as well. 

"Like my brother said." Atsuko took her place in front Grayfia again quickly, now with Issei next to her. "Our king is distressed and she came to us."

Rias was now surrounded by her Peerage. 

"Naturally it's our duty to be there for her." While Atsuko's words would normally seem callous and distant to Rias, the Gremory Devil knew Atsuko was putting on a persona, thus couldn't help but smile at the performance. 

"Now, unless you think this group of virgins is somehow gonna start an orgy, I'd like to ask you to leave, so we can make some snacks and watch anime." Atsuko said proud determination. "I assure you, no one here has the balls or experience to sleep around. Yes, including Akeno-senpai." 

"Fufufu, we're gonna have words about that tongue of yours, Kouhai-chan." Akeno said threateningly. 

"Teehee," Atsuko laughed with her tongue out. The tension was more or less gone now. 

"...You dedication is admirable," Grayfia said, her expression softening a bit, before turning neutral again. Suddenly there was a pressure in the room, especially on Atsuko's shoulders, from the maid's presence. "However I am here on order of the Satan Lucifer, child. The Maou that even you answer to, as well as the Gremory family, which you now belong to. If you're going to be a good servant for your king, you need to remember that."

The young devils struggled to stand. Atsuko drew on her magical energy. 

Grayfia raised an eyebrow. The pressure was going from the room, and was now focused on the Bishop. 

""Atsuko!"" Both Rias and Issei said in alarm. Both were about to jump in, with Issei even summoning his Sacred Gear. 

"Buchou, Issei, don't!" Akeno said, stopping Rias, while Kiba and Koneko held Issei back lest her harms himself. Issei only stopped when he saw Atsuko do a thumbs up behind her back. 

Atsuko cast a spell to increase sensitivity, then reversed it's intent, turning it from pleasure to pain, and targeted herself. 

The Hyoudou girl gritted her teeth, but the pain help her stay upright and awake.  

"You act for the sake of Rias Gremory's family, and Rias Gremory's brother. I act for the sake of Rias alone. We are not the same." Atsuko said in a deadly calm voice, with her arms crossed. "Rias comes first. I answer to her and look after her well being first. Period." She said pointedly. 

The pressure continued for a moment, before Grayfia sighed and the pressure relented. 

The Peerage sagged in relief, with Issei coming to Atsuko's side. 

"Lady Rias, can I be assured that you will not engage in any tomfoolery?" The silver haired maid asked pointedly. 

Rias went to her Pawn and Bishop and hugged them, glaring at Grayfia, but the mutterings from Atsuko telling her that she's fine, calmed her down. 

"Yes, obviously." Rias said with narrowed eyes. "And Grayfia, don't you dare scare my cute Peerage like that again." 

"I only act for the sake of your wellbeing, Lady Rias." Grayfia gave an elegant bow. "Good day." And with that a magic circle appeared under the maid, and she was gone. 

"I can't believe she stole my line right from in front of me." Atsuko muttered, half in awe, half in annoyance. Rias snorted and chuckled. 

The group sagged in relief. 

"I can't believe that worked." Koneko ended up saying. 

"Yeah..." Issei said, looking at Atsuko again, who gave him a thumbs up. He smiled and returned the gesture. 

"Atsuko, is everything over?" Irina called out before knocking and opening the door. 

"Yeah, we're all good." Atsuko said back. 

"Oh..." Irina nodded before looking at the assembled group in awkward tension. 

"Hello again, Ms. Exorcist." Akeno said with a playful smirk.   

"Yes--" Irina said with eyes narrowed in annoyance, before Atsuko cut the confrontation off. 

"Alright!" Atsuko broke the mood by jumping up to stand, hands on her hips with her usual wild grin. "Issei you get the snacks. Koneko, please help him. Irina get Asia, we're having an anime slumber party and you're joining."

"Yeah, I can't sleep now, might as well." Issei went ahead, with Koneko dutifully following him for snacks. 

"Eh?" Irina looked on in surprise. 

"It's gonna be like old times." Atsuko said with a wide smile at her childhood friend. She then turned to Rias, Akeno and Kiba. "Now, I know anime isn't you guys' thing, but tonight is about Rias." 

"Yes, because this isn't totally something you want to do." Akeno chimed in with a knowing smile.    

Rias giggled "Thanks, Atsuko." 

Kiba...let out a breath, trying to just let go of his inner tension, and go with the flow. He can do that much for his king and fellow Peerage members. 

"No problem! Besides, this is something I know you're gonna love." Atsuko said with excitement in her voice. 

All too soon the group of Devils and church goers were assembled in the living room, sitting on the carpet floor, leaning against the couch, with a wide blanket around them. 

Asia was introduced to the group, and regardless of there reservation she couldn't help but be taken in by her cuteness. 

"W-What are we watching, Miss Atsuko?" Asia asked nervously. 

"The greatest anime to have ever or will ever exist!" Atsuko declared. 

Issei snorted. "That's an over exaggeration." 

"I'm actually kinda excited. I mean, what anime would Atsuko consider the greatest of all time?" Rias said with enthusiasm. 

"I'm glad you asked! It's called..." Atsuko took out a DVD box set that had a group of characters, standing in front of a red mecha wearing giant black angular glasses on it's face and chest. "Tengen Toppa Gurren! Lagann!"

AN: I will likely write an omake of the Peerage's reaction to the anime. Should be fun. :D
