Atsuko DxD Adventures 15

Full Title: Why the Heck was I Reincarnated in DxD without a Cheat Power!?

---

"Hyoudou Atsuko, the Student Council President requests your presence. Please come to the Classroom 334. Hyoudou Atsuko, please come to the Classroom 334." The school's intercom rang out.

Atsuko calmly stood up from her seat, and headed to the mentioned classroom.

I really hope the plan works as intended. Atsuko though.

===x===

The 'Plan', Atsuko came up with, and gotten Aika to be a part of, was a simple one. However it is because of said plan's simple nature, that Atsuko dearly hoped that whatever magical defenses Sona had on her office, it wouldn't account for it.

The Wish Magic of Devil Contracts was a very odd and unique thing, Atsuko had found. She always made sure to study it as she did her contract, to make sure she knew and understood its limitations and possibilities.

For one thing, it can create things ex-nihilo if enough energy is provided. But honestly, it would be much better to just get the item the contractor wants, as all the demonic power spend, wouldn't be worth the drop of power returned.

 For another, it can manifest the contractor's wishes through probability manipulation. However the price to be paid would usually depend a lot on the worth and value of the contractor's potential, or what they could offer up in return in terms of power, wealth or aid.

It's that second example that held Atsuko's attention. She remembered one of her brother's clients that wanted to wish for a harem. However, the price would be his whole lifespan. As in he would die just as the women came into his sight.

It may not have meant much. It may have only been a gag joke-like situation of this anime world, but the implications were enough.

Probability manipulation via Devil Contracts was possible.

Obviously, Atsuko had to work with the assumption that there were defenses against such powers. There is no way Devil and their Peerages didn't have some kinda of magical defenses against things of that nature.

But what if the event being manipulated was small enough?

Something so innocuous that there was a good chance of it happening?

What if Student Council President Sona Shitori was so busy handling the increased budgets due to new members, each school club has, that she was feeling anxious and frustrated? What if the clubs are also all clamoring for a certain student to be part of them, and just asking the Student President to help them?

What if that frustration grew due to suddenly having to run around, and deal with a team of magical girls running about, and threatening the existence of the supernatural world's masquerade?

What if the cause of both problems was the same girl, Atsuko Hyoudou?

And what if when planning to go reprimand and scare the hell out of that girl, her best friend and the girl's King was also there, thus needed to compromise on scolding the girl, to be done in Rias Gremory's presences, thus choosing to meet the girl in an empty classroom, that can serve as "neutral" territory, because both Sona and Rias grew up with a noble's upbringing, so tended to act on those lessons when they can?

And what if in Sona's hurry, from her frustration, to scold Atsuko, she had her phone on her and forgot to close it, and left it in the empty Student Council room, so that anyone who might be there might see it...

And look through the contact list.

===x===

"Do you have any idea how much memory editing needed to be done to the yakuza from what your friends did? Or the environmental damage they cause when they got into a fight with a Rogue Magician?" Sona said coldly.

"Wasn't he some mad scientist criminal?" Rias asked.

"The fact that he's a criminal doesn't change that innocents might have gotten caught up in the crossfire." Sona said back her eyes never glaring away from the demurely seated Atsuko.

Both Devils had their Peerage there with them. Sona for intimidation to show Atsuko has serious she was, and how bad her actions were, and Rias had hers there for support.

No one suspected anything was amiss with this situation.

Except for Issei.

Because there's no way his sister would just sit there, and take her verbal lashings without arguing back, or even trying to use sarcasm to anger her opponent further.

She was planning something but what?

===x===

I wish to for Sona Sitri to forgets to lock her cellphone, and leave it behind in the Student Council room as she goes to reprimand Atsuko Hyoudou tomorrow.

It was the wish Aika Kiryuu made under Atsuko's instructions. The plan was all for Atsuko to get the phone number of Sona's sister, someone that's supposedly a big deal in the Devil world according to Atsuko.

Aika felt nervous. No, she felt coldness running through her veins, and if it wasn't for her moving and walking her hands would be shaking.

Yet she couldn't keep the excited smile off her face. She noticed that she was doing that, and push it down to just her normal calm happy look.

It was like being a spy. She was humming that American movie theme, Atsuko showed her one time under her breath, where the spy has to lower himself with a cable into a room and not touch the walls or floor.

She reached the Student Council room.

No one was around.

Aika let out a breath. Okay, she can do this.

In. Copy the number. Out.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Aika grabbed the door handle and--

Clink.

Aika blinked. She tried again.

Clink.

"Tsk, of course the door is locked." Aika said under her breath, before smirking. "But that's why you prepare, right Atsuko?"

Aika took out a talisman, that had a rudimentary telekinetic spell written on it. A very complex spell formula for one simple task.

Open a simple locking mechanism.

Aika placed the talisman on the keyhole and--

Fizzt.

The talisman was set on fire and burned up totally.

Shit! Aika panicked. There was some kind of automatic defense!?

She began to run, only to remember Atsuko's words about drawing suspicion, and walked fast away.

"Yo, Aika, what's the hurry?"

Aika nearly jumped from her skin, as she looked to see...

Matsuda and Motohama. The Perverted Trio sans Issei.

"Yeah, is something the matter?" Asked Motohama.

Aika paused as an new idea came to mind and grinned.

"Say...I need your help with something?" Aika said.

"We don't do things for free Motohama said immediately.

"You'll get to look at my panties." She deadpanned.

""SOLD!"" Both boys shouted.

===x===

"Damn you, Matsuda!" Motohama cried out, as he was holding his friend's feet to stay balanced standing on his shoulders.

"He he, should have been faster in rock-paper-scissors." Matsuda grinned as he was looking up Aika's skirt.

Aika was of course standing on his shoulders to reach the Stundent Council room's windows from the outside.

"Quiet both of you, and stop moving!" Aika hissed at the two boy, who thankfully complied, as she tried to focus on reaching side with the window handle, to place the second talisman Atsuko gave her as backup.

She wasn't tall enough.

Aika took a deep breath and prepared herself...to do magic.

Just the thought was enough to make her smile.

It was her first spell.

A very simple spell Atsuko taught her. A kinetic spell used to move objects through wind.

Drawing on her moderate amount of magical energy reserves, she moved them to her hand, forming the small magic circle with the spell formula written on it.

The wind gathered over Aika's hand. She used to grab the talisman with the other. It was a slow moving task.

Thankfully the window wasn't that far from her stretched hand, and so she moved paper talisman carefully so it doesn't get blown away.

Careful, careful, there!

The window opened, and Aika grabbed onto the ledge and climbed inside, in the process the boys lost their balance and fell with a cry outside. Aika ignored them to search the room.

There was papers and desks, all organized and meticulously placed.

"Ooof, I swear everything is so neat here, it's like some corporate hellhole." Aika let out a breath, and shivered.

Given that the Student Council were Devils, maybe that was intentional?

"Wait, Atsuko said Devils aren't as evil as in the past, and Sona was actually  pretty decent. Maybe this place was made to look like a corporate hellhole ironically?" Aika thought before shaking her head. "Right. No time to daydream--There we go."

Easily finding the only mobile in the room, Aika looked at it, and--

"Yes! It's open." Aika grinned. Her heart was really racing now.

Quickly opening up Contacts, she went through the names, looking for 'Sister', 'Elder Sister', 'Older Sister', 'Serafall', 'Lady Leviathan', or 'Serafall Leviathan'. It was the last one.

"Sona's the type to write the full name, helpful." Aika copied the number, and was about to leave then paused. "Maybe I can find some magician teachers here." She said to herself.

Atsuko wasn't going to be able to teach her a lot of magic, as she was learning herself. Not only that, but her friend was already busy with Devil life and all, so it would be like insurance, right?

Aika quickly looked through Sona's contact list, scouring it for magic teachers and...

"I have no idea who's who." Aika said. Other than names of other Student Council members, and some people in school, Aika wasn't able to identify anyone. She had to pick up something and quickly leave.

Aika's phone buzzed. It was a message from Atsuko.

'SC -> Back'

They're heading back! Aika's eyes widened. She gave the contact list one more quick glance, seeing anything that sticks out.

Aqora Shakespeare.

"Well the name has 'Shakespeare' in it, that's bound to be something." Aika quickly copied the number, locked the phone and set it back in place.

She climbed out the window, making sure to close it behind her. The two boys where still there.

"Oh, right!" She also noticed the talisman still stuck to the window frame, and grabbed it.

Good.

Aika jumped to the shock of Matsuda and Motohama, not knowing that Aika had cast her wind spell to slow her descend, and used their bodies as a final cushion to her fall.

"Urgh, my head hurts." Said Matsuda.

"My everything hurts! Get off me!" Cried out Motohama.

"Come on, let's get outta here! Move, more, move!" Aika hurried them.

The trio ran away, undetected.

===x===

The Student Council room opened with a click, as Sona and her Peerage poured in.

"You know, I think I was starting to feel sorry for Hyoudou-san there, near the end. She was so quiet and sad throughout the whole thing." Said Tomoe Meguri, Sona's Knight.

"Don't forget all the work her prank had to put us and Kaichou through. Hmm?" Tsubaki Shinra, and Sona's Queen, replied, before noticing the wind from the gap of the open window.

"I'm sure she's reflecting on everything Kaichou said, so let's give her a break for now." Ruruko Nimura, Sona's Pawn, offered.

As the group discussed what happened, and what work they'll have to do now, Tsubaki went to the wind to close it. She looked down to see nothing. She paused as she wondered if she felt the residue of magical energy, and looked around.

"Tsubaki," Sona called out from her seat. "Is something the matter?"

Did I imagine it? Tsubaki wondered before putting the thought out of her head.

"No, Kaichou," she shook her head. Maybe it was their own magic around the place. Nothing felt foreign. Nothing she could detect at least.

Tsubaki closed the window and got back to work with the rest of the Peerage.

===x===

"Hey, everything worked out?" Atsuko asked as Aika reached her, in their secret place, next to the PE school shed.

"Yeah, things got a bit intense, but I got the number." Aika said with a grin as she showed Atsuko the saved number on her phone.

"Sweet! You made sure to leave nothing behind, right?" Atsuko asked with the same excited grin.

"Yep. No talisman left behind. Didn't touch anything but the phone, and even put it back in place. Nothing should be out of place." Aika said back.

"Ha! And Sona won't realize anything until it's all too late." Atsuko's grin was devilish.

"Oh wow, how scary." Said Rias behind them.

"Oh yeah, basically I'm going to--AAAAAH SENPAI!" Atusko and Aika screamed and hugged each other, as they were confronted by Rias, who was lead to their location by Issei.

"I am so interested to hear about this devious plan, Atsuko." Rias smiled.
