Let Justice Be Done Ch. 87

Raguel appeared in a flash within Merlin's home, and while he noticed from the window a lot of burnt and destroyed ground outside, inside everything was fine.

"AAAAAAARGH!" Viviane scream and hissed.

Almost fine.

"Honey, I'm here. What do you need?" Raguel was quickly by his wife's side, as  Katrina was busy with her mid-wife duties. Eleen was there for some reason, holding one of Viviane's hands in support, and sporting a smile of barely contained pain, with tears at the edge of her eyes, as she looked at Raguel for help.

Merlin was missing, but Raguel felt a fae magic field around the house, acting as some kinds of defense and obscuring what's going on inside.

Thanks, Merlin. Raguel thought as this situation didn't need sudden interruptions, or unexpected situations or guests.

"Just stay near me and hold my hand." Viviane said, which Raguel did, and then hand to reinforce his own hand against his wife's crushing grip.

Eleen was freed, and immediately cradled her hand, in a silent scream, while thanking the Fae Mothers that her limb is still attached to her.

"Um, I'm gonna need the bucket changed with clean water." Said Katrina.

"Eleen." Viviane nodded toward her.

"Wait? You want me to--" Viviane glared. "Right away!"

Raguel looked at the situation, noticing how dirty some of the towels and Katrina's arms were from daily life and work.

"Okay, first, you need to wash your hands. Actually why aren't we using magic?" Raguel said to himself.

"Oh yeah, I can just--" Eleen brightened up.

"One moment," Raguel said as he called on his inner Light. "Chesed Mercy." Raguel cast the field around the house, and instantly his wife's grip lessened.

Not only that, but the house, the people inside and everything was also cleaned.

"By God's grace," Katrina crossed herself and looked around and at her hands in amazement.

"Okay, now go ahead." He told Katrina, to which she smiled in joy and carried on her task.

A few minutes later, the house was filled with cries of a newborn child.

===x===

"What will you name him?" Raguel asked, feeling sparks of fire of excitement, worry and above all, joy in his chest. Like the emotions are there, but held back.

"You're not going to chime in to name him something silly, like Kid, or Boisterous, because it has the homonym  of 'boy' in it." Viviane said barely taking her eyes of the baby she held, to give him a coy smile.

"Come on, I'm not that bad." Raguel pout. "I would have suggested something, umm," he paused for a moment. "Marcus?"

Viviane gave him a dry look. "Really?"

"Okay I dunno, James?"

"No." She deadpanned.

"Look, I already asked what you will name him, so..." He pouted at her, while his tones indicated for Viviane to 'get on with it'.

Viviane giggled at her husband's flustered face. "Alright, alright."

Viviane looked back at her baby, seeing him wrapped up in her arms, a light blue hair on his head, like hers, but looking like it was leaning to her husband's blond hair at times.

Raguel was very gently caressing his son's face with a finger, almost afraid just touching the child would break him like glass. It was adorable how careful he was. The baby moved his hand, for a second, and looked like he was about to start crying again. Raguel quickly moved, holding the baby's tiny with his thumb and index fingers. Holding the hand very lightly, while the baby wrapping his hand on Raguel's finger, holding firmly to his father's hand.

Raguel started crying, blinking almost surprised by the action. Viviane almost imagined the love he had for his son piercing his heart, and confident act mask, like a lance.

And just like that Viviane had a name.

"Lancelot."

Raguel blinked, almost like he didn't hear her, as he turn to his wife. "What?"

"Lancelot. Our son's name."

"Oh." Raguel looked back at the boy, not such whether to cringe or chuckle. Yet, for some reason at this moment, he didn't care, it sounded right. "Guess, we're going with Lancelot. Hey Lancelot~."

Look into his son's soul, he saw the soul become complete, as it held a name now.

Then Raguel noticed something else in Lancelot's soul.

"Oh for fuck's sake, Dad!" Raguel groaned.

Viviane hissed. "Don't use that language in front of our child."

"Sorry," He said quickly back in a whisper.

"What is it?" She asked.

"He has Sacred Gear." Raguel said plainly.

"He what?" Viviane said pointedly.

"And given what I see inside, hmmmm, yeah, that's Thanatos alright." Raguel nodded, as he saw the Sacred Gear, Algol Harbringer. Another name within it was 'Numberless Followers of Death's Mantle'.

Yeah, that doesn't have 'edgy teenager' written all over it, Dad. Raguel felt his Father smiling down upon him. Because of course He was.

"Is it anything that can harm him?" Viviane asked.

"Probably not. Don't think Father would do that. In fact, I think this would help him better defend himself, so there is that." Raguel said cheerfully, to assure Viviane's fears.

Someone cleared their throat.

Raguel and Viviane were taken out of their small little world, as Katrina and Eleen were around them.

"It seemed the child is healthy, and there were no complications. In fact, I would say this was the best delivery I worked in." Katrina smile, happy for the magical couple, and felt awed and satisfied to have been part of this, well, divine experience.

"A-hem!" Eleen said in a louder tone, pouting at people not paying attention to her.

"You have fulfilled your duty, Eleen. Thank you." Viviane said with a sigh, and Raguel felt a fae debt dissolving.

Not sure when that happened, but okay.

"Of course!" Eleen preened. "And since I was present for this wonderful occasion, I think I should gift this child with my blessing."

"No supernatural beauty." Raguel said instantly.

"No charming voice." Viviane said back as well.

Raguel look at Viviane with a raised eyebrow.

"I thought you would say her blessings were not needed at all?" He asked through their bond.

"If she wants to I won't stop her, and it would be rude to refuse her. What we should do is minimize any damages for her clumsiness." Viviane said back.

"Why, I was gonna, hmph. Fine." Eleen went and stood next to Viviane, raising her hand in the air, like she was doing a performance, but Raguel could feel the fae magic slowly gathering in her hand. "Then, child of Raguel and Viviane, I hereby bless you with elegance beyond--"

""No."" Viviane and Raguel both said at once, in a deadpan tone.

Viviane frown, but continued.

"Charisma beyond--"

""No."" The couple said once more.

"The love of all--"

""No."" They cried out.

"Why do you keep interrupting me!?" Eleen said back, pouting and nearly in tears.

"Because I have seen too many examples of a virtue taken to an extreme and turning horribly." Viviane said through her teeth, barely hiding her annoyance.

"I have read way too many stories about someone that would have an ability that allows them to easily attract or charm woman, and it ends bloody for them." Raguel emphasized.

"Fine! Then I'll just be his Fairy Godmother." Eleen said dismissively.

Raguel raised and eyebrow in confusion, while Viviane looked on in horror, as the Fae Magic took place linking Lancelot to Eleen.

"Eleen...do you...understand what you just did?" Viviane said slowly. There was worry in her voice. Not for herself, but for Eleen.

"What? I just made myself his Godmother. That means I'll just look after his health when needed till he reaches adulthood, and then offer advice to him freely when needed. No need to thank me, I'm generous like that." Eleen smiled as she held her head up high.

"No," Viviane slowly shook her head. "It means being responsible for him and his wellbeing, all his life. You would even have to place his wellbeing above your objectives if the two clash, and have to sincerely work for his happiness to the best of your ability." She explained.

"...Oh." Eleen's expression dropped, as she looked down at the sleeping baby. "Well...that's not...so bad."

"...Didn't Mab want us to see her first chance we have to bless our child?" Raguel asked.

"Oh right there was that too." Viviane's eyes widened, as Eleen's face went white. "Well, there was nothing in what she said about having to be the first to bless him, just that we ensure that we meet her, so we should be fine. However," Viviane looked at Eleen with sympathy, then her expression turned to one of firmness. "Eleen, you are going to be living in my house for a while, as I will teach you how to be a lady of the Fae Courts."

"W-Why? I'm c-completely fine. And I have Phaedria to help me so--" Eleen tried to act fine, as her mind didn't want to process the implication of Raguel's question.

"No, you really are not. I should have paid attention, but I am too tired and it slipped my mind. Thus I will train you as a Lady of the Courts, and even offer my support for your bid for Lady of the Lake position should you still aim for it." Viviane said.

"Oh!" Eleen's eyes lit up. "That's great! Yes, I mean, I accept." She tried to act natural but was obviously too happy.

"Good, because you'll need all the support you can get, since you just shown up the Winter Queen by blessing Lancelot first." Viviane clarified.

Eleen paled and started to hyperventilate.

Then the 99 angels that were with Raguel in battle earlier, arrived and descended from the sky to visit their Archangel brother, his wife and their newborn child.

Katrina cried in awe and joy.

Merlin cried in trying to make this barrier hide the magnificent event happening in his home before giving up, as even a camouflage barrier can only downplay and hide so much.

And Eleen fainted.

I mean, Eleen got what she wanted in the end. I guess this what happens when there is really is too much of a good thing
