Let Justice Be Done Ch. 85

"Forty of you, take the twin beasts. The rest with me and the knights." Raguel ordered, as he headed toward the captured Black Serpent. "Arthur, Ector, go help the angels against those two new beasts. We'll handle things here."

"Yes, Lord Raguel!" Said Ector with a quick nod.

"At once, Raguel!" Arthur cheerfully shouted.

They both hopped up on the Old Lady, and headed to battle the twin beasts, along with 40 angels.

As Raguel and his squad of 10 angels flew toward the staked serpent, he saw Kay still holding onto it, with an odd zeal.

"Kay, I'm gonna need you to let go of the serpent now." Raguel said, as the angels prepared to dive in and attack the immobilized beast.

"No," Kay said back with a maniac smile. "NO! The kill. The glory. The stone. The reward and riches! They're mine. They will all be mine!" He said squeezing on the beast's neck, but his focus was elsewhere, on the tail of the beast which was rattling.

Ring. Ring.

The Black Serpent's tail tip was bulky like a massive rock was in it. It's gold color was shining bright, letting out a ringing sound and glowing aura as it rattled from side to side.

Ring. Ring.

"We...We need to stop that human. I mean, get him away from the beast." Said one of the angels at Raguel's side.

"Y-Yeah, why is a human getting in our way? Why isn't he listening to our Lord Raguel? That's, that's insolent." Said Kalawarner, from behind Raguel.

"Brothers! Sisters! Stop and focus!" Raguel shouted. "You're being affected by the beast's magic."

Looking around at Kay and the angels, around him, Raguel could see how the maddening call of gold and glory was affecting them. Some where able to throw the siren-like effect after Raguel's cry but not all of them.

Looking further out, he could see the angels battling the twin beasts, make mistake after mistake. Some even doing something an beginner-like, even childlike as flying into each other, as if they are newly made angels, still learning to fly.

While Arthur and Ector engaged the twin beasts, swords meeting claws, the beasts moved with bizarre like motions, and were too fast to fatally hit. More than that, the angels that faced the beasts seemed to quickly look spirit when the damage they did was undone by the two beast healing whenever one touched the other, bringing them both back to full health.

Raguel now had an image of how these three beasts fought and operated and he was starting to look his patience, once he saw the pattern they fought with.

"Yeah, no. None of this mind whamming bullshit anymore. Malkuth Kingdom." Without wasting anytime Raguel lit up his sephira and a sphere of Light exploded out of him, expanding and encompassing the everything within the magic barrier they were in.

The effects of the beasts instantly vanished, as well as cause the serpent and twin monsters to cry out in pain as steam began rising from them.

The angels and Kay shook their heads, able to focus once more.

"I..." Kay blinked as his mind was clear, and shame filled him at how he was acting. "What was I--"

"Kay, get away now!" Raguel cried out. while Kay was regaining and forming his thoughts once more, his grip on the serpent loosen.

Enough for the Black Serpent to twist around and face the knight, who hastily let go, and tried to crawl and jump away.

The Black Beast let out it's magma breath on the giant knight.

Raguel teleported in front of the blast with a Holy Wall out, the other angels quickly coming to his side, and supporting his spell.

"Kay, out of here and behind it." Said Raguel.

The words short and to the point, reminded Kay of his father's instructions. The knight nodded, shrunk himself, where another angel grabbed him, while giving his sword to him and flew around and upward.

With Kay out of the way, Raguel and the other angels flew away from the beast's attack.

"Divine Might." Raguel casted his Holy Spell at Kay, enveloping him in an aura of Light. "The rest of you, empower that spell."

""Holy Amplification!"" The ten angels used the support spell meant to augment holy magic.

"Kay, go big!" Raguel called out.

With a warrior's cry, Kay grew to the size of a giant once more, even big enough to be as tall as the beast when it was standing on it's bell. His blade also growing large enough for it's width to be able to cut clean through the beast's head.

And thus the Black Serpent of the Barrow was slain.

"I take back what I said before." Said Kalawarner. "That was easy."

"Oh for Father's sake." Raguel face palmed.

Raguel then got a feeling from his wife of odd surprise, and slight worry and nervousness. He wasn't around so he didn't know what those feelings were referring to, and couldn't take time in the middle of battle to ask. Thus working on the assumption that Viviane was just a worrywart, Raguel sent back a feeling of reassurance, which got her to sent back calm and relief.

Suddenly the group heard a cry from twin beasts. They looked to see them heavily injured from their battle, as they were easily dominated and injured, by the forty angels and two knights.

The beast were surrounded with nowhere to hide. Thus they let out a cry as dark energy burst out of them, and they transformed once more.

The beast turned from harlequin-esque monsters to giant female creatures, appearing like a noble woman in a dress, with their whole being made of white cuts of flesh that showed blood underneath.

"There's not black anymore, does that mean we shouldn't attack them anymore, Lord Raguel?" Asked one of the angels in the group, Ariel, Raguel recalled.

Soooo tempted to make a race pun. Raguel remembered a hilariously dubbed anime scene, from long ago.

"No, they're still the same shards of the apocalyptic beast, attack!" Raguel charged with others following.

The new twin beasts opened their mouths and screamed. The deranging sounds they made, were charged by their power, and thus they effort of despair and error.

"Wow, these things are dumb. Trying the same things again?" Raguel wondered.

The ground cracked becoming unstable. The weather changed becoming more difficult to fly from sudden lightning, hail and other effects. And the feeling of dread and despair returned tenfold.

"Yeah, no, screw that." Raguel focused internally on his sephria and drawing out more of his inner light, making it shine brighter, and causing the effect of the Malkuth Kingdom to strengthen and affect any in it's range and connected to Raguel.

"Once more, let's do this!" Arthur shouted, as he charged his Galatine and swung with all his might. The knight's beam slammed into both beasts burning them, and making them scream in pain.

"R...Raguel..." Viviane called out through their bond.

The other angels added there own Galatine beams, some even using the beam combining move. The beasts were all but dead.

"Honey, everything okay? We're just about done with the mission here, if you need me?" Raguel mentally said, half worried, half focused on the battle.

"S-Stop sending...me..." Viviane tried to say.

"Sending you what? If you felt I was worried, I didn't mean to send that. Battle is just taking too much focus." Raguel said back. "Huh, I wonder if I when overkill in my preparation for this hunt." He wondered out loud to himself.

"I can't believe it. We have slain three Black Beasts in one day! It's all thanks to Lord Raguel!" Said a young boyish angel, Raguel remembered was named Cassiel.

"Oh for fuck's sake!" Raguel cried out, making some of the angels near him flinch and look at him in surprise.

"Your Light! It's make me..." Viviane tried to say, but seemed to struggle with words.

Dark aura exploded from the nearly dead beasts one more time, as the twin beasts collapsed into smoke, and then slammed into each other their energies and beings combining together.

The storm of energy and flesh grew larger and larger till a new whole Black Beast emerged.

It was a grotesque creature made up of many different parts of body parts and demonic hands. It had a mockery set of wings, a pair of white angel and black devil wings. It had flesh tentacles for legs from the torso down, and large fleshy hands, where the fingers were also hands. Rather than one head, it had to, a male and female stitched together, next to each other.

It's twin cries were also grotesque and disturbing, as lines of blood fell from it's eye sockets.

Yet Raguel couldn't begin to care about this new evolved beast combination due to Viviane's last message.

"I'M HAVING THE BABY!"
