Let Justice Be Done Ch. 84

"Ursi Respondere!" Ector summoned his Sacred Gear, the Old Maid, the Bear Queen appeared in a burst of orange light. Old Maid was already running, letting Ector and Arthur jump on her back.
The bear was moving much faster, as Ector learned to empower the bear with his touki. A corona of white aura enveloped Ector and the Old Maid, as she sped up.
The Black Serpent headed toward Arthur and Ector riding the bear Sacred Gear, only to turn toward Kay who grew in size, yet only managed to reach a third of the serpent's height, from where it stood on it's stomach.
"Uncle! Head toward it!" Arthur stood up, then jumped on Ector's shoulders for stability. Ector instantly grabbed his nephew's legs to keep him in place, while using his legs to hold on to Old Maid who turned, dashing toward the serpent, based on her user's intention.
"Dammit, brat. Are you insane!?" He berated him, not that he could spare the moment, but kept the hold on Arthur's legs.
Like the first time Arthur worked with Heaven's angels, he had been given a copy of Galatine.
This time he didn't bother holding back with the weapon, seeing the beast slither, quickly reaching him, and about to encircle him. Arthur charged the Holy Sword with his holy energy and touki, not holding anything back.
Galatine glowed till it grew red with shining yellow cracks appearing in it. Arthur roared about to throw the blade with all his might, yet at that moment Old Maid stumbled from the uneven ground, almost seemed like she would fall over, but quickly righted herself.
Yet in that small disturbance, as Arthur threw the blade, his aim was off. The wind cracked, as the blade broke the sound barrier many times over, the serpent barely had time to turn around.
Rather than its head as originally intended, the blade slammed into the serpent's side in the thickest part of its hide.
The Black Serpent shouted in pain, as it's body shifted and was thrown back a bit from the force of the sword explosion.
Arthur felt terror, guilt and despair at missing the chance to end the vile monster, and because part of the explosion shockwave hit Kay as well, but the giant knight had finished his Gigantification, thus was mostly fine. Arthur shook off the despairing feeling, thinking it was odd, but put it off his mind. He bent down then stood on the moving bear, hands holding his uncle's shoulders.
Kay was now half the Serpent's height, while it was slithering on the ground. He swung the giantified blade missing the head, and giving the beast to regain it's bearings.
"What was that, Kay!? Are you a fresh armor scrubber?" Ector shouted at Kay missing a shot like that.
"Okay, that is odd." Arthur noted.
Kay swung again, this time hitting serpent, but it was just thrown back a bit, not looking worse for ware. The beast pulled it's head back, it's chest glowing brighter, as it opened it's mouth, sucking in air, and letting loose a river of magma as a concentrated beam.
Kay's eyes widened as brought up the blade in front of him, and tanked the breath attack, the blade glowing red at the beast's magic assault.
"Call the angels!" Ector cried out.
"As knights shouldn't we show our strength by beating this thing ourselves, before it runs away!" Arthur found himself saying, yet a while he did want to prove his valor, a part of him protested that his pride was talking and it was wrong.
"Knights can't afford arrogance. Now, Arthur!" Sir Ector shouted.
Arthur blinked back at his uncle's tone, shaking his head, throwing off the unfocused thoughts and feelings, as he grabbed silver cross.
"Kay, forget hitting it and grab it!" He shouted to his cousin, then called into the cross. "Lord Raguel, we encountered the Beast! Please help!"
Light began shining in the clouds above. The serpent stopped and looked up in fear.
In that moment, Kay threw the sword at the beast's head. It heard the blade whizzing in the air, looked toward it, as easily leaned away. Again, Kay cursed himself for making such amateurish mistakes, but it didn't matter.
He reach the Black Serpent and jumped on it's back, encircling its neck with his arms.
The beast roared and jerked around trying to break free.
"Uncle, take us to Kay!" Shouted Arthur.
"Already ahead of ya!" Ector shouted as the Old Maid ran toward Serpent.
The mist then seemed to move, actively obstructing their way like a living thing.
"Uncle, your sword!" Arthur called out.
Ector threw up his blade--another Galatine--which Arthur caught, then quickly slashed multiple times ahead of them. The concentrated Holy Light blasted the mist apart. The sheer strength of Arthur's swing making the Light blades be shaped like a crescent wave cutting and blowing away the supernatural fog.
As the bear neared, the two knights nodded to each other, and jumped off. The Old Maid slammed into the Serpent like an unstoppable force, making it lose it's leverage and for Kay to wrestle it down.
""Holy Entrapment Barrier!"" Angelic voiced called out as a large cage of light fell down on the whole hill region, locking in the Black Serpent, the knights, and fifty angels within the cage of Holy Light.
Those fifty angels then rained down Light Spears that struck the serpent's body and stabbed it in place. Only the third Kay was holding onto was left unmarked.
"Huh," Kalawarner, one of the former Fallen Angels, that volunteered for this mission said. "That was easy."
"Something is off." Raguel said to himself, while sending a message to two angels nearby to arm Sir Ector and act as support for the two knights. What worried Raguel was how the feeling of wrongness, like the energy of the Black Beast wasn't just limited to the serpent, but permeated the whole area. "We're gonna have words in the after action report, when this is all over." He told Kalawarner without looking at her, causing her to blink in surprise.
The fog then moved once more, being pulled from across the whole valley, hills and forest, condensing into two distinct shapes.
As the two figures formed, the feeling on the beast was now distinct into three structures, rather than throughout the whole area.

There wasn't one Black Beast in the Mournful Mound, but three. The Black Serpents, and two twin harlequin-like monsters, with sinister glowing red eyes, sharp teeth, and elongated arms and claws.
Raguel's eyes showed him the new Black Beasts' names.
Error and Despair.

Nice to see some former fallen here. Though why does the new beasts remind me of clowns
