Let Justice Be Done Ch. 82

"Hey, Zerachiel!"

The six-winged angel stopped in his task, of writing reports for how well a number of angels were doing in their training, and how much they have improved.

"Lord Raguel," Zerachiel blinked at the sudden visit by the Archangel of Retribution, as some had come to call him for his role in the last infamous battle. "It is an honor to see you once more my Lord. How may I help you?" He said smiling in enthusiasm.

Raguel stopped and blinked a few times, at the overjoyed enthusiastic attitude, as it felt odd. Almost felt like being venerated.

Mentally shrugging Raguel continued. "It's good to see you too. Say, are you free at the moment? I'm going on a hunt for the Black Beasts that were formed from Pandora's Box, but I don't know who's busy and whose not. I remember you being in administration and organizing originally, right?"

"That's right." Zerachiel said, almost glowing at the recognition. "Ever since the Orkney Battle, I've been recognized by Father in leading in a more combat role, and had thus been on of those assigned in directing the angel's training."

"Hmm," Raguel nodded. "Well, I need some volunteers for my hunt. So can you find those who are free and willing to come on my mission? Meet me at the Second Heaven in an hour. It's fine if you don't fine many, just five would be ideal."

"I'll do my best to provide many more than that!" Zerachiel smiled brightly.

Raguel gave an awkward smile, as he felt like he was being treated like a celebrity.

Was that why a lot of angels were stopping and looking at me in awe lately? Why didn't I notice that before? Actually why are they doing that? Seriously, it's not like, I'm Uriel who returned from his hundredth battle laughing and telling my story like the fun, cool older brother? Oh well, something to think about later.

"Yo!" In a flash of Light, Raguel teleported above Arthur, Ector and Kay, startling them and their horses.

It took a while for Raguel to find them, before tracking them down to one of the many grasslands of Cameliard. After doing so, he sent a feather close to them and teleported through it.

"Ah!" Arthur cried out, and took a moment to calm his horse. Raguel laughed as he landed on the ground. "L-Lord Raguel!" Arthur said in awe and surprise, as he never expected to see the angelic figure again. "Is it really you?" He asked, as he and the other knight got off their horses.

"By God's grace, it's an honor to see you again, my Lord." Said Sir Ector.

"Err, yeah. Same." Said the surprised Kay, which got him a dope slap by his father.

"Have some respect, boy! You're standing before an Archangel of the Lord." Ector berated his son.

"Err, seriously, it's okay." Raguel waved his hands, trying to lower the tension and serious mood.

"'Okay'?" Arthur and the others tilted their head at that phrase.

"Uuh, basically, I'm saying it's alright. Don't worry about formality. I don't want that to get in the way of just talking." Raguel quickly explained.

"Ah, right." Arthur smiled and nodded. "Why did you seek us, my Lord?" He then gain a serious face. "Is it another mission? Another battle against the devils, or Satan? Is Merlin fine?"

Raguel blinked at the rapid questions, before chuckling at Arthur's enthusiasm, and smiling at his concern at his mage friend. Before Sir Ector could berated Arty at his casualness, forgetting the Archangel's request for dropping formality for a moment, Raguel spoke.

"No, no. While I do wish for your help if you're not currently under any obligation, hopefully this won't turn into a giant battle this time." Raguel chuckled. "As for Merlin he is fine, um, I guess will be fine are both accurate statements."

"Huh?" Arty asked.

"Never mind, I can get you to talk to him later if you wish." Raguel said, to which Arthur smiled and nodded his head quickly, reminding the Archangel of an excited puppy.

"Calm down, Arty." Kay placed a hand on Arty's head and ruffled his hair. Arthur pushed the hand away in annoyance, but not with too much force. "So, what quest do you wish to venture us on, my Lord?"

"Indeed, there is no quest made by God that we won't carry on, and uphold it above everything else." Ector spoke as he stepped forward.

"Woah, woah, woah, okay calm down." Raguel said back, feeling pressured from how eager they are. It felt odd that how they are so willing to listen to him. He wasn't used to being seen with so much authority. "Look, this isn't a request by God. Rather it is something I have taken up on my own, due to various reasons." He began to explain. "Currently I'm hunting down the Black Beasts, if you have heard of them, they are the eleven beasts released from Pandora's Box due that battle. One has already been eliminated. Ten are left. The problem is, they seem extremely sensitive to angelic presence, or maybe it's my presence, I'm not sure.

"But I haven't been able to capture any of them for that reason. As knights I would expect you to have some knowledge at hunting, so I wished to ask you to help me hunt down those Beasts and trap them in place, while I and my brethren would vanquish them. Again, this is completely voluntary, and if you have other obligation you don't need to forsake them for me. I asked you because, well, you're the only knights I know and I am already aware of how skilled you are." He finished. "What say you?"

Arthur's smiled seemed to stretched throughout Raguel's explanation, and the Archangel could almost hear a squeal incoming.

"IT'S A SIGN FROM GOD!" Arthur jumped, pumping his hands in the air.

Raguel startled, leaned back at the sudden action. "What?"

"What this boy is too hyped up, like a squirrel in mating season, is trying to say  is, we already do have a quest to undertake. However it coincides with yours, my Lord. We were tasked by King Leodegrance to slay one of those Black Beasts. We are currently heading to the Mournful Mound, which is inhabited by one of those Beasts. The Black Serpent of the Barrow." Ector explained, placing a hand on Arthur to keep him in place.

"We do have to bring back the magic stone in its tail though." Sir Kay added.

"I-If that's alright with you, Lord Raguel." Arthur said, realizing that maybe a magic artifact from a damned monster, might not be something an angel would approve of having around.

"Hmm? I mean, sure, as long as it's not demonic and has unexpected ill effects." Raguel said with a shrug.

"Then we're on a quest from God once again!" Arthur said pumping a hand dramatically in the air.

Raguel had a lop-sided smile, as he looked at the young knight in amusement. "Again, Father didn't tell me to do this, and you learned that phrase from Merlin, didn't you?"

"Eh, heheheh." Arthur rubbed the back of his head, as he gave a sheepish smile, to which Raguel found himself chuckling in turn.

"Alright, Zerachiel, did you find any volunteers for me?" Raguel asked after returning to Heaven, and sensing the angel in question, and teleporting to him.

""We are ready to answer the call, Brother Raguel!"" thousands of voices echoed as they answered back.

Raguel jaw dropped as he looked at the proud Zerachiel with a tenth of Heaven's forced rallied behind him.

"I'M NOT TAKING ALL OF YOU ON A MONSTER HUNT! ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE!? I'M PRETTY DAMN SURE NOT ALL OF YOU ARE FREE! IF YOU HAVE A JOB OR TASK TO DO, GO BACK TO IT RIGHT NOW!"

A loud cacophony of disappointed moans and whines echoed back.
