Let Justice Be Done Ch. 79

Zeoticus, Venelana and Serilina froze, their eyes widened as a familiar voice spoke.

They looked to the side to see Tuilelaith looking at them all with--a pout--contempt.

To Tsufaame's horror, she looked to see Tuilelaith had entered the room and confronted her parents and Lady Leviathan. She hadn't even noticed the Gremory Heir leave her and Barbara's side.

And given Lady Leviathan's look at her, Tsufaame and Barbara were also exposed now.

"Honey," Venelana spoke with a very strained smile. "Why!" she said forcibly before regaining her composure. "Are you up right now?"

"To witness a conspiracy of a most diabolical detectable deceptions, orchestrated, by a pair malicious tricksters scouring in the night and deny me my righteous glory!" Tuilelaith shouted.

"Honey you got plenty of cookies at dinner." Zeoticus said, hoping she would fall for the bait.

"Never enough, sire, and I meant the other kind of glory. One taken through mortal combat!" Tuilelaith declared raising a fist in the air.

Zeoticus clicked his tongue as his gamble failed.

Tusfaame and Barbara entered the room, and awkwardly greeted the adults. Or at least Tsufaame felt awkward at being caught, while Barbara was nonchalant, watching the argument for her entertainment.

"Sweetie we told you, you're too young." Venelana tried to rationally point out.

"'Oh Tuilelaith, you're too young to go to the Human World, boo', 'the Human World is too dangerous, waaah'." Venelana gave her daughter a deadpan look at the voice acting. "But here you are giving your blessing to Aunt Serilina to head not just to the Human World, but the Fae Realm. Does your lack of shame know no limit, madam?" Venelana began to massage her temple. "And you, Satan Leviathan of the Dark Seas, my favorite aunt, Aunt Serilina, how could you do this? I trusted you. How could you conspire to leave me behind and go on an adventure of your own, when I had made my wish known for months!?"

"Tooly, you've been telling us for two weeks. You're only months old, you can use that example." Zeoticus tried to argue logic.

"Meaning I've been begging all my life!" Tuilelaith cried out, in righteous indignation and surprise.

Zeoticus cursed himself for thinking logic would have worked.

"Seven out of ten on the guilt trip dear, but not really effective." Serilina said with an amused grin.

"Curses!" Tuilelaith said. "Very well, I will consider this manner of your deception behind us if--"

"Wow, she is just laying the blame on us and hustling us." Said Zeoticus to his wife.

"I don't know whether to be proud of exasperated." She paused for a moment. "...Maybe we shouldn't raise her to be a typical devil. Although I wonder where she learned to talk like that?" Venelana said back.

"--You get me dragon as a pet when you return." Tuilelaith demanded, with a pleading, expectant look at Serilina. "I shall it, Destructor McDeathkill."

"No," Venelana said decisively.

"What the fuck, guys!?" Tuilelaith turned to her mother.

"Tooly, dragons can't really be made into pets. You might manage to get one as a familiar, but you typically have to be stronger than it to make it accept that contract and obey you." Zeoticus explained.

"What about a small dragon?" Tuilelaith argued.

"No." Venelana put her foot down. "Sorry, Tooly, but until you can show you can  be responsible, then we can talk about getting you a pet."

"I'm responsible." Tuilelaith said back quickly. "I can be very responsible. I'm the definition of responsibility."

"Define 'responsibility'." Zeoticus said jokingly.

"Eeerrrrrrrrrrr..." Tuilelaith stopped as she racked her brain for that information. She didn't say anything for a while. She kept making the same noise, as she tried to remember the answer.

"Is...did she really stop because she didn't have an answer?" Serilina said with some amused incredulity.

"...Honey I think you broke our daughter." Venelana pointed out.

"Tooly stop turning your focus inward! You'll make your brain explode from overthinking!" Zeoticus went and grabbed his daughter, shaking her in a panic.

It was the next day, and Serilina and Tsufaame were leaving.

Tuilelaith had overthought herself into sleep, so Venelana started making plans to get Tuilelaith to sleep by asking her difficult complex questions, since Tuilelaith wanted and needed to show herself as smart, and have a reply for everything, which will make her think herself into fatigue and sleepiness.

Tuilelaith had latched onto Serilina during the Gremory Family saying farewell, and it took Venelana and Barbara to unlatch her off.

Unseen by them, Tuilelaith had taken a part of Serilina's dress--as it held remnants of Serilina's aura from being soaked in it--in order to use it as an ingredient for a summoning rune script. Tuilelaith knew she had a month before Serilina Leviathan left for the Fae Realm so in that time, she would train to raise her demonic power, and then reverse summon herself to her godmother's side, in order to attend this auction in the Fae Realm, and get a dragon for herself.

Sometimes I'm so smart I scare myself.

"Is your latest diabolical scheme going well, Young Miss?" Barbara asked the lost in thought Tuilelaith.

"Of course! I'm mean no! I mean nothing! Silence wench!" Tuilelaith said casually, driving away any suspicion.

"Lady Leviathan," Tsufaame spoke, finally gaining the courage to do so, after returning to the Leviathan Castle, and were alone once more.

"I told you to call me Serilina in informal settings, Tsufaame." Serilina chuckled, as she entered her main office, and stopped at a door with large seals on it.

Tsufaame recognized the door as belonging to the First Leviathan, being the master bedroom. Upon gaining her position as Leviathan, Serilina had placed something in the room, and sealed to all entry.

"Then Lady Serilina," Tsufaame spoke, to which Serilina chuckled at the girl's cute hold on formality. "Is what you spoke about with the Lord and Lady Gremory true?" She asked. "Are we losing against Hades and his armies?"

"...If things continue at the current rate no." Serilina said with a frown, and while the reply was hopeful, Tsufaame didn't know why her Matriarch's tone was not. "We are currently losing, but with the production rate of the Genesis Devils, we'll eventually reach a stalemate. In a few decades to maybe a century, we'll start to see have decisive victories, rather than middle of the road ones... or pyrrhic ones."

"Then..." Tsufaame smiled at the good news, but stopped at Serilina's expression.

"And in the mean time how many of our people, our children are going to be sacrificed, and thrown like numbered lambs to the slaughter?" Serilina shook her head. "No, we need to be stronger, and gain more ground now rather than later. Lord Lucifer will drain the entire Buné bloodline on trying to see who will survive bonding with the Draghignazzo Malebranche, we need something to ensure the bonding is successful without further casualties by our own hands. And more than that we need..."

Serilina stopped as she placed a hand on the sealed door. She closed her eyes as she was lost in thought, coming to a decision.

"We need...what, Lady Serilina?" Tsufaame asked.

"Power." Serilina opened her eyes, giving her psuedo-daughter and clan heir a considering look. Serilina saw the face of all the children massacred in Belph City on Tsufaame's face. She saw those that died and what they could have been. She saw Tuilelaith and what she could be. And saw Tsufaame herself and what currently exists.

All things she needs to protect.

"Tsufaame," her tone change to one of command, making Tsufaame stand up straighter. "The master bedroom is now my training chamber. No one is to interrupt me while I'm inside. Understood?"

"Yes, Lady Leviathan." Tsufaame answered.

Serilina unsealed the room and entered. Before the door closed Tsufaame saw a demonic looking crown with three horns, and a jewel at the bottom of each horn.

From then on, whenever Serilina Leviathan was within that room, all that could be heard were screams of pain, and periodic flares of demonic power.

You know there are many ways Tooly's plan could result. It could work correctly, thus sending her to the fae realm. It could backfire by reverse summoning serilina from the fae realm. I mean, what if the summoning does not work at all.
