2024-05-30 04:13:34 +0000 UTCMy sentiments exactly. We have lunatics here driving around with Punisher decals, who practically salivate at the thought of shooting someone over a flat-screen. I'm just saying that those types wouldn't just report a shoplifter, they'd escalate the situation

2024-05-29 13:41:00 +0000 UTCWhy does everyone in TX feel the need to bring up guns in every situation? You realize that shooting someone for stealing is a CRAZY mentality to have, right? Isn't that the saying? "Don't aim unless you're willing to shoot?" It's one thing if it's on your personal property or in your house, but inside a store is different. Stores have insurance to cover theft.

2024-05-27 20:32:33 +0000 UTCNot in all states. Un many you have to leave the premise to be charged. Up to that point there is no proof of theft.

2024-05-27 11:38:12 +0000 UTCYou can be charged with shoplifting/theft without leaving the store.

2024-05-27 10:37:11 +0000 UTCEek. I hope it's carefully set up, don't want any lunatic vigilantes starting shit.

2024-05-27 10:34:38 +0000 UTCGood thing they didn't do this show here in Texas. The confrontations can be a lot more straightforward because when you can legally carry a firearm with no permit needed, people tend to have a lot more confidence in just walking up to a shoplifter and calling him/her out. I'm armed quite often when I go out, and wouldn't be afraid to speak up, but that kind of mob theft doesn't happen where I live, and I don't give a shit if Walmart loses a little profit. I've never been present at any kind of theft at a small business, apart from helping drag out some asshole who wouldn't pay his bill at a restaurant I worked at when I was younger. No guns, just a beating courtesy of one of the cooks until the cops arrested the dude who tried to scam the restaurant.

2024-05-27 03:00:30 +0000 UTCIt's not really a bonus, it's what patreon use to be before it became almost exclusively TV shows haha I'd definitely speak up if they were stealing something expensive and not essential, but if they were stealing food (especially with today's food prices) I would assume they really need it. A couple of months ago, a couple stole $800 worth of booze from the liquor store. They did a diversion tactic since there was only 1 employee. One kept the employee occupied while the other was stealing top shelf tequila that wasn't being kept on the literal top shelf where it's out of reach.
