Weekend Update is *UNCANCELLABLE*

Exclusive

Comments

Parts of SNL these days can be funny, but in general I don’t like it anymore. Much funnier back in the day. I basically only watch the Weekend Update here & there (they put it on YouTube).

Bradley Vance

It’s a special segment on Weekend Update called “Joke Swap” where Colin and Michael write jokes for each other.

Zach M

It makes sense because the road rager was raging on the driver's terrible driving.

Thomas Rogan

SNL is going through a rebuilding period since so many people left. 2014-2022 was one of the better casts they’ve had in their history since 1975. Colin and Michael do a Weekend Update (usually once a year around Christmas) where they write each other’s jokes. Keenan Thompson is the pillar, but Bowen Yang should be the next big star.

David Broome

The joke didn't make sense though because the Asian woman wasn't driving the car.

Will Moffett

Every once in a while they do this, where they write the jokes for each other and aren't allowed to read them or rehearse them until the day of airing. SNL still sucks but weekend update has always been good. It's an genius loophole they found because they're different races hosting the show, and the fact that the other person is writing the joke for other person...pretty much removes them from accountability for the joke. Shows how hypocritical the woke media and people are because these jokes are hilarious and they're laughing at them.

Will Moffett

Well done. Quality stuff. SNL has it's good weeks and bad weeks; good bits and bad bits. But that's the way it's alway been. A lot of people seem to remember the really funny stuff from years ago, that have been circulating for years, and these skits and characters have become part of the culture. It''s still happening to this day. Hope you guys react to SNLs Love Island UK.

I believe the road rage joke that went over your heads was referring to Asian drivers

Thomas Rogan

Colin Jost is the other news anchor. He’s married to Scarlett Johansson.

Kimberly Hickey

No, they write each other's jokes which makes this bit so funny! Also, SNL is not as good, overall, as it used to be, but there are still plenty of funny skits.

Em

I’m with Daz, I think they write the jokes for each other
