I totally disagree. A mother will always look after her daughters regardless of their age. It sounds like you're in a similar situation but bare in mind no two situations are the same. Avoiding being toxic is the higher road for me. Not telling my kids to STFU FFS for example... hope this helped

She could be (probably is) poisoning the kids against the new spouse. 2) These aren't "kids", the youngest is 20 and so they're adults and they need to grow the hell up and stop playing these power games. Showing text messages to their mom? Y'all are grown enough to deal with the situation yourselves, stop dragging mommy karen into it. And 3) mom needs to get over it. The relationship is over and the kids are grown. You and the dad are no more, move on.
