Nani was so busy keeping Lilo and her new "friend" out of danger that by the time she noticed the changes in her sister, it was too late. Lilo acting wildly was nothing new, but she seemed to becoming even more unruly -- she was such a blur of activity that Nani didn't notice her turning somewhat blue... and when she did notice it, she chalked it up to spilled paint, blueberry jam, or some other simple explanation. But then the antennae began to appear...

Before long, Nani noticed her own body changing. But with the newfound strength and energy that accompanied them, she soon stopped caring.

As for Dr. Jumba, he was overjoyed when he found them. Spontaneous prion-based mutation, interspecial convergence! This meant that Experiment-626 was not only more dangerous than he imagined, but more valuable as well. Even better, he finally had some playmates -- Experiment-626A and Experiment-626B, he would call them. Once they were safely contained aboard his spacecraft, they soon forgot about their former lives...
