You always have him breathy and vulnerable and achingly sincere while also keeping this undercurrent of masculinity and sureness of himself and what he wants that is so true to his character. It’s so easy for him to be characterized as ultra soft or painfully insecure or almost feminine in the gentleness of his nature, but you don’t really ever go there with him and I appreciate it so much. Like…Deku is a *man*. He’s a man who is strong and who has suffered and who has given so, so much.
