December Dormitory Diary Entry - Watanabe

Hey everyone, Watanabe here.

This is my December dorm diary entry.

I can’t believe we’re down to the last month of the year already. I feel like I say this every year, but time just keeps flying by faster and faster.

This year, I mostly worked as a keyframe checker, and it’s been a huge learning experience. I feel like I’ve really grown a lot. And now, next year, the project I worked on as a checker is finally going to air! I’m excited to see it, but at the same time, I can’t help but think, “I wish I’d done this or that differently…” I’ll take those lessons and try to improve on the next one.

Oh, and just recently, I went to a year-end party that included people from other studios. I even got to catch up with a former dorm mate from Animator Dormitory! It’s been ages since I last saw them at one of our networking events, so it was such a nice surprise. This industry feels huge, but moments like that remind me how small it really is.

Since I don’t know many people outside of work, the connections I’ve made through Animator Dormitory have been invaluable. I’m so grateful for this community. Thank you, Animator Dormitory… If there’s another networking event, I’d love to join in again.

To wrap things up, I just want to say thank you for all the support this year.

Let’s make 2025 another great one for Animator Dormitory!

12月の寮生日記を投稿します。

今年も残り1ヶ月となりました。

毎年言ってる気がしますが、年々時の流れが速くなっているように感じます。

今年は動画検査として主に仕事をさせてもらい、いろんなことを学び成長出来た年になったと思います。

いよいよ来年には動検作業をさせていただいた作品が放送されます。楽しみだったり、もっとああしたかったなど悔しい気持ちもあったり…そういった反省を次に活かせるようにしたいです。

つい先日他の会社の人も含めて忘年会をしたのですが、アニメーター寮の元寮生にお会いすることが出来ました！交流会ぶりにお会い出来たのでとても嬉しかったです。この業界は広いようで結構狭いんだなと感じました。笑
