October Dormitory Diary Entry - Watanabe

Hey, it’s Watanabe.

This is my dormitory diary entry for October.

Man, September flew by, and here we are already in October. As soon as the Halloween-themed candy starts showing up in stores, I can’t help but feel the end of the year creeping up. It always puts me on edge. But hey, those Halloween packages are cute, so I can’t complain too much.

Work-wise, nothing’s changed—still grinding through retakes. The schedule’s been stretched, which gives us more time, but there’s still a mountain of stuff to fix. Honestly, I’m a bit worried if we’re going to get through it all. But hey, we’ve got the extra time, so I’m just going to knuckle down and push hard until the end.

Oh, and I got pulled into helping with a subcontracted episode. Usually, the studio handling the subcontracting takes care of their own retakes, but time’s tight, so I’m pitching in. I’ve still got my own episodes to finish up, so I’m not sure how I’m going to juggle everything, but I’ll just do what I can to get the best results. You know how it is—just gotta keep pushing and hope for the best.

Also, our crowdfunding campaign kicked off the other day.

We’ve been promoting it through the Animator Support Organization and the dorm accounts on Twitter, so if you can give us a boost by spreading the word, that’d be awesome. Appreciate the help as always!

10月の寮生日記を投稿します。

先月もあっという間に終わり、もう10月です。

スーパーでハロウィンパッケージのお菓子が並び始めると、年が終わる気配がして焦ります。それはそうと、ハロウィンのパッケージってかわいいので好きです。

仕事の方は今までと変わらず、リテイクをメインに作業しています。スケジュールが伸びてリテイク作業期間は増えたのですが、まだまだ修正する部分がたくさんあります。終わるのだろうかと少し心配になりますが、ギリギリまで頑張れることになったので気合を入れて作業したいです。

ところで、グロス回のヘルプに入ることになりました。通常はグロスを受け持った会社がリテイクもやるのですが、時間がないこともあり手伝うことになりました。自分の担当する話数もまだ残っているので手が回りきるのかと言う不安はありますが、出来る範囲でより良いものを作れるよう頑張ろうと思います。
