Here's my dormitory diary entry for July.
How've you been holding up in this non-stop heat?
The other day, I almost succumbed to heatstroke, likely due to the high temperatures.
Fortunately, I quickly recovered after drinking plenty of water and getting a good night's sleep. I always get careless around this time of year and tend to let my health slip.
Please make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest!
Starting this year, the test we use to promote people to key animation positions has undergone some changes. We used to take a test, but now we do 'assignments.'
More specifically, instead of having a single test once a year, you can now move up to key animation as soon as you complete the required assignments. There have been several additional changes made since last year, such as the removing in-between frame requirements and restrictions.
Last year, I couldn’t take the test because I didn’t meet the required number of frames. I needed to complete more than 350 frames for both in-betweens and finishes each month throughout the year. However, in those days, finishing work and retakes counted as only half a frame. It was tough to meet the criteria. It’s a relief to see these strict requirements being relaxed.
That said, I’ve been so busy with quality assurance that I haven’t been able to make much progress on the key animation assignments. I plan to do most of them on days when no work comes my way.

7月の寮生日記を投稿します。
気温が高い日が続いていますがいかがお過ごしでしょうか。
この間暑さのせいか熱中症のようになってしまいました。幸い水分をたくさん摂ってよく寝たらすぐに回復したので良かったです。この時期はいつも油断しているので体調を崩します。皆さんも水分補給と睡眠不足にはお気を付けください…！
今年度から原画に上がるための制度がテストから課題制に変わりました。
具体的には今まで年に一回だったのが、課題をクリアすればその時点で原画に上がれるという形になりました。他にも動画枚数のしばりが実質なくなるなど、昨年度から変わった点がいくつかあります。
実は昨年度は枚数が基準に達していなかったのでテストを受けることが出来ませんでした。私の場合年間を通して月の作業枚数が動画350枚仕上350枚を超える必要があったのですが、仕上だけやる日があったり、リテイク（TP修正のカット）が0.5枚分だったりと、基準に達するのが難しかったです。結構厳しいと感じる部分もあったので、そういったものが改善されたのは嬉しいです。
とは言え、動検の方が忙しくてあまり課題を進められていません。素材が入ってこない日は課題をたくさん進められるようにしたいです。
