August Dormitory Diary Entry - Sakamoto

This is my dormitory diary entry for August.
As the weather gets hotter, so does my house. As the house gets hotter, the flys seek refuge inside. It might have something to do with the fact that I’m right outside of a veritable garden, but still.
About my work, I’m animating in analog right now, but I asked the studio head to let me know if there’d be any opportunities to do digital animation sometime around June since that’s more my wheelhouse.
The only person able to do digital animation in my entire studio is the in-between animation director though, so I didn’t expect much of a reply. Just the other day though, the studio head asked me to take care of some design documents AND to do it digitally. I was really excited at the idea of finally doing some digital work. I’ll report back here when we actually make the full transition to digital.

８月の寮生日記を投稿します。
暑くなるにつれて家の中にハエが入ってくるようになりました。おそらく目の前に畑があるせいだと思うので防ぎようがなく大変です。
仕事についてですが、動画はアナログで作業しているのですが、実は６月ごろに私から社長にデジタル作業出来るのでやる機会があれば最初にやりたいとお話したことがありました。
ですが、会社にいる人の中で、デジタル作業の出来るアニメーターが動画検査さんだけで無理だろうと思っていたのですが、先日社長から設定のトレスをデジタルで頼むかもしれないからよろしく！と言われて、ついにデジタルで作業できるかもしれないとうれしくなりました。実際にデジタルに移行したときはまた報告したいと思います。
