Exclusive Diary Entry for August: Kimura

Long time no see everyone. Kimura here.

This is my exclusive diary entry for August.

Starting this month, I’ve transitioned back to handling all basic work functions remotely. I guess getting a change of environment doesn’t always mean a productivity increase after all.

During training, we got regular work updates and such by Skype, so there was always an element of human interaction. The same was true during in-between training as well. Now though, there’s none of that. I have to submit a work report at the end of the day, but other than I am working completely alone. I learn best by watching and learning from people who are better than me, so I’m not feeling much improvement right now and it’s stressing me out. It seems that we’ll be working remotely for a while, so I’m gonna try and find the upside and take something from this experience.

Something good happened, too. At last, my name will be credited in a film airing next week! Woooo!

I’ve been credited under our company name before, but this is the first time I’ll be credited as an individual and I’m so happy! One of my small goals has always been to see my name in the credits of a commercial piece of animation. I’m looking forward to the premiere.
