Hello, it’s Kaneko.
Here’s my exclusive diary entry for June.
I finished training last week. Starting this week, I’ll be diving straight into actual cuts. I’m currently working on an isekai show and all of the characters have so many lines that even just tracing them takes a while. Characters wearing armor or helmets are tough due to their especially long lines.
New in-between animators are given the simplest cuts possible, but even just tracing from the keyframes can take up an entire day.
The studio I work for doesn't have a set time for clocking in and out, so I go to work whenever I want. I'm a night owl, so lately I've been going to work in the early afternoon and leaving around dawn the next day.
I’m completely nocturnal…
Changing the subject, I got a notice from my studio about the COVID vaccine. The company was offering to schedule an appointment for me and pay for my transportation if I got the vaccine, so I decided to get it. After looking into it though I guess some people are having side effects like being unable to lift their arms and having high fevers?! Spooky stuff! I was told to rest for two days after vaccinating just in case. Here’s hoping nothing goes wrong!
June 27th, 2021. Kaneko.
