Hello!

This is my entry for May.

I’ve been slow on my posts, it’s good to see you again. Watanabe here.

It’s been a month since I joined my studio.

I feel that time has been passing fast than usual…

I had my birthday during Golden Week, and before I knew it, I was 21;

My older brother even said, “You’ve become a great adult!” to me.

I was a bit perplexed processing everything.

I swear I had intentions of getting better at drawing but…

Recently the animation inspector has been putting me through the wringer during training, but on the other hand, I find myself unable to do anything in response.

That’s not good!

It’s easy to spend time being lazy, but you can say it has its pains.

I’m sure there’s a quote from someone that goes “When in doubt, go the hard way,” so I’m going to be a little more strict with myself here soon.

Different topic, but I mentioned earlier that the animation inspector has been putting me through the wringer, but on the other side, they also bring refreshments to all the animation staff nearly every day.

It’s a complete carrot and stick situation, but their gifts can be very generous. Sometimes we have steak or pizza (4 slices.) It’s delicious.

I receive retakes back every day, however.

Just when I feel like I'm about to falter, there's a steak ready for me, and being the simpleton that I am, I feel better right away.

If I’m able to increase my drawing speed, I might be able to work on theatrical productions, so I’m working hard toward that goal now.
