Hello everyone. Kimura here.
This is my diary entry for May.
Before heading into Golden Week, I took a quick test summarizing what I’ve learned so far.
It tested our ability to clean up characters drawn in many lines, clean up distorted characters, animate between curved lines, and animate dynamic shots.
Us 4 trainees were ranked by assignment; It was a good opportunity to reevaluate how well I can draw.
After the test, I felt that my strong suit was the cleanliness of my lines. I felt that my pitfalls were hand speed and stamina.
Specifically, I notice my focus takes a clear dive towards the latter half of work, so I’d like to be able to draw for longer periods of time.
I heard that the motto of animation is to produce quickly and carefully, so I’ll strive to achieve both higher speed and accuracy.
