Update: Life

So, I've mostly gotten over whatever sickness (probably COVID) I have other than the major loss of taste. So that is a plus! However, it seems that sickness was the catalyst to finally cause a burn out. I've been struggling with work problems, in and out sleep, and personal doubt and thoughts over a long period of time, so this is not a big surprise to me. I noticed this might be the case when I was finally healthy enough to do art, my brain just didn't want to anything. It's really frustrating since I had a really good content month in March and gain a lot of you to only then get sick and burn out the very next month, especially when I had a big piece planned for this month.

To try and fix this, I've decided to finally take a break like my friends have been telling me. I'll be focusing on completing Unicorn Overlord before returning to art. Why until after completing a video game you may ask? Well, in my first year of art officially I suffered my first burn out, and what helped me was taking a month of my time and completing Monster Hunter Stories 2 when it released. By the time I was done, I was reenergized and back to working order. Don't worry. Thanks to my sickness, I've actually about 70-80% done with it already, so it shouldn't be much longer. (Btw Dinah is my waifu).

In other news, all of this has made me also think about the question "Why do I do art?". Well, to eventually tell a story with my OCs in a visual format. I have a lot of the themes and story beats already, it's just getting better at art and comics. But, to do so, I need to actually sit down and LEARN the basics and fundamentals, not just bullshit my way to completion. So, when I return to art, I will be doing more practicing as well.

Again, I'm sorry that I haven't really done art this month, especially to those who just joined. I promise I'll be back to working order soon. Trust me I have ideas, it's just getting the brain to do it. As always, thank you for supporting me, and hope you all keep doing so! Side note, what do you guys then of subscribestar? It's looking a bit more appetizing lately...

Thanks for tuning in!
