With Episode 2 we've started working on more reusable backgrounds that will be used in future episodes. The personal quarters is one of the first backgrounds for episode 2.
Sleeping in zero gravity is a nightmare. An example is the astronauts on the ISS that sleep in sleeping bags to keep them from drifting away. Another danger in zero gravity is pockets of carbon dioxide that could potentially form around a person's head. The ISS has several counter measures to prevent this, and excess carbon dioxide is regularly vented from the space station.
The crew quarters on the UIC Tabitha does have gravity, making life much simpler. Each crew compartment has a bed, a small bathroom and a study nook. Personal belongings are stored in storage compartments built into the walls.
Provisions to somewhat personalize the space is also made. On the sketch you should be able to see the shelving/cubicles where crew members can display a few personal belongings.
Caba has already started with the linework for this background, and the next steps are coloring and shading.
(If you recall the sketches from last week, here is a sneak peek at the cropped final version of those sketches - It has already been implemented into the first episode, but hasn't been uploaded yet.)
