I've never played the games but I saw a YouTube short that put the game and the show side by side. The ending where she chops him up is EXACTLY the same.
Thank God we've reached this point with video game adaptations finally. What i mean is whoever makes creative decisions for a show like this just said, nah the game did it perfect, let's just recreate it. Instead of trying to Hollywood it up and make it more "TV" appropriate. I understand things like pacing and all that has to be changed up, but at least these important plot beats are identical
Also it always gets me welling up when he calls her baby girl and she just fully trusts him and feels safe with him. I can only imagine how dialed up his parental instincts are in that moment when he just wants her to stop being scared.
Truly the best video game adaptation we've seen so far
