It’s been days since I watched this and *those* scenes still stick with me… not sure what the director was thinking including several bizarre escalating sex scenes while continuously flashing to the underage actor. Like we get it we don’t need a reenactment. Geralds game did it better and with less scenes I think

k sorry for all the comments. This movie definitely needed to cut some shit cuz wtf. The director and producer of the film is the one the movie is about and I get its her story but its soooo graphic lawd.

Unfortunately, this is the reality for a lot of adult survivors who were groomed. Grooming removes your natural instincts to the point that many don't even know they were abused until someone confronts them with it. It's really sad, groomers can ALWAYS tell who is open because they are always testing the waters. They look for folks with little no boundaries and who are looking for someone to SEE them.
Sorry for the rant, I used to work with survivors and I wanted to help normalize why she is acting the way she is, because the average person just wants to shake some sense into her lol.... AND of corse i wrote all this shit before your review at the end 😬
