I think the reason why she felt played from the situation is that a big way women keep themselves safe is by being able to read people + situations and trust our instincts. So imagine going through that thinking you had the power in the situation since you invited both men when you could have had one, but then it turns out they had the power the whole time and you couldn't even sense it. Damn
