Hey no worries man, glad you soldiered through a lot of the camp and cheesy soap opera stuff.
So as far as people who love the show like myself, we only care about scenes like that dream one at the end. There are only a handful of scenes like that one throughout all of the 2 seasons. So people like me do a lot of skipping past the soap opera shit for the weirdo scenes.
As the show goes on, they make those surreal scenes connect in very strange ways. For myself, that is the entertainment, how Lynch made the weird shit make sense. He also made a movie that's a prequel which is packed with strange feeling scenes like the dream one. Lots of trippy stuff throughout the movie, as Lynch is an esoteric dude himself.
As far as the comments of people saying stuff like Audrey sends them to heaven. Unfortunately this show attracts a lot of artsy farts types who go nuts over all of it.
But anyways, just wanted to mainly see how you felt about the dream scene and if it intrigued you. Love from NY!
