It's crazy that you pointed this out because I believe that I never mentioned what I thought the black actors were or were playing as. I think it's because I just assumed Ghanaian, Nigerian and Jamaican. This is because I noticed in most of the British content that I view with black people present, that was usually what they were. Your point about them attempting to clear their conscience while glorifying the empire is wild because it is something that I have felt for a while but did not know how to put into words.

On an unrelated and superficial but noticeable note, the black actors are Ghanaian, Nigerian, Tanzanian, and I believe the lady playing Shannon is Jamaican descent. I wonder if it’s deliberate. It’s great for the actors but also irritating because the Brit’s use visibility in media of black and brown people as a way to clear their conscience and continue glorifying Empire. Unfortunately, too many of my people (Ghanaian), are complicit. Anyway, glad you liked it, and I look forward to more episodes
