pc is very loyal plus her job is spinning shit so they can work around every scandal, so that’s expected of her to have this reaction, whereas diane even tho she cares about bojack she’d always advise him to be better (rehab) and be honest. i don’t think she sees their friendship as a punishment she cares about him as a person, they’re both good friends just in very different ways
