My favorite episode. I am so glad you noticed that the waitress was actually telling the truth. Such a great performance from everybody and beautifully written as well.

2022-09-22 06:52:45 +0000 UTCThis episode hit home. Ali was my dad. I had many conversations with my dad like the one Ali had with his girls. I was defensive, and untrusting...just waiting for my dad to hurt or disappoint me again. I’d have a moment of compassion for him and then anger at myself for letting my guard down. He’s dead now and I can’t forgive myself for not showing him compassion. The writer director is an addict and the waitress was a real person, not an actor. The whole episode was brilliantly effective.
