one of the writers said on their podcast that the scene with kim and her mother is directly related to the last scene of the episode where she chose to get married to jimmy. idk maybe some abandonment issues due to pushing her mother away and it must’ve ended up badly so now she refuses to let go of jimmy even if it’d be the right thing to do, we’ll find out in s6 lmao
