The Day That Lasted 21 Years

Comments

Since you had so much to say about this I think I will make many commentaries when I get to rewatch this again, you made a LOT of good points and questions, I know you hear this a lot, but you're the most perceptive reactor out there, I know 99% of any other reactor would not pick up the stuff you do when watching. Just by watching General Newton Cruz speaking, you already can tell he's as piece of shit. He was the one saying students unions like UNE and workers organizations were not normal in a Democracy. General Newton Cruz was one of the most notorious members of the Linha Dura(Hard Line) they mentioned in the documentary, the most authoritarian factions of the Armed Forces. There is the full interview with him in YouTube(not with english subs I believe) and it's some chilling shit, it turns my stomach that this man lived without seeing the end of a cell, but tortured and persecuted many of our people. He was a traitor piece of shit. All that Armed Forces bullshit about loyalty to the country and whatnot, they sold us out to the US for the power to rule the country. In the end, they finessed the US Government too, refused to leave power and even turned on them on some other issues, like when General Geisel founded the Brazilian Atomic Program that the US or USSR wouldn't support, but the military made it happen either way. Also when Angola became independent of Portugal and became Socialist, Brazil was one of the first countries to recognize the new government, because we wanted expand our influence and reduce Portugal's in Angola. They just were interested in the power and used the Americans for their own benefit, the traitors pieces of shit.

Still early in it. Seems representatives are open to being bought. I thought it was just an American thing, with my ignorance. Still tho, a lot more to watch. This comment here could be way too preliminary.
