Background processes - tutorial (3 types & comparisons!)

Hope it’s easy enough to understand and that at least someone finds any of these useful! The names for each method are just made up, if there are proper terms for them I apologize cx

From personal experience as well; I enjoy and mix in all these methods depending on use and mood! I most commonly do the painting method for background/photo studies, grayscale for concept art or more complex/detailed scenes and the ajdustment layer method for things like color palettes (e.g the you’re gonna go far kid background concepts & character palettes!)
