Cosplays showcase

A bit of a different post but I've wanted to show my old and more recent cosplay projects for some time and here they finally are :> 

My Vi cosplay I worked on last year, the belt with bags I finished yesterday and all other components of my Tokoyami cosplay are from around 2019, I believe my Mae (Night in The Woods) inspired hoodie was sewn around that time if not eariler as well!!! I'm currently working on building a whole foam head with hopefully a moveable jaw etc for my Tokoyami project and I'll share that in the discord server once completed :)

This hobby has become my biggest passion beside what I create online and I'm glad I have cosplay to keep up that creative side ;u; As someone who's biggest hinderances in life have all been related to self esteem and body/self-image; cosplay has been so helpful in many ways, I still remember feeling comfortable in myself for the first time ever when I went to my very first convention and con experiences in general is one of the most amazing and enjoyable things for me every year, I can't recommend visiting at least one in your lifetime enough!

Fun fact most swedish schools have mandatory woodwork and sewing classes each week for many years, they were definitely my favourite classes. I was also taught how to sew by my grandmother from a very early age and I'm so thankful for the experiences I've gained from it all!

The black wig was my first time ever styling one, and Vi's was the third time, it's super duper difficult but also really different and challening in a fun way!

My biggest pride creation-wise is still to this day my dark shadow bag, you can open his eyes to pop in tiny led lights and he's so soft yet durable as I managed to get a hold of matress foam to build him up, using the base of a plastic easter egg for the hollow-bag part. 

For my Vi cosplay I ordered a finished costume but touched up nearly every part to make it more show accurate and less cheap looking, I highly highly highly recommend that approach as it's both less overhwelming instead of having to make an entire costume yourself but also really rewarding to upgrade it into a very neat and professional looking outfit!

Idk how many find this stuff interesting and it's not something I get tons of time for to work on but I'm still excited to show these >:D
