2023-02-12 06:35:20 +0000 UTCMy first job was checkout at a grocery store at 15 yrs old. Legally the store could pay me a lower wage until I turned 16. I got all the Sunday, late night and public holiday shifts because they didn’t want to have to pay penalty rates to a full time employee. It sucked so much. The week before I turned 16 I got fired for “not smiling enough” at customers. They replaced me with another 15 yr old the next week. Cheap bastards. I became a Marxist for nearly a whole year after that. (Thanks history class!)

Good to hear I'm not the only one with a history of terrible menial jobs. These videos are a really nice addition to the podcast.

I know I missed a bunch of the old episodes, and am slowly trying to fill in. Getting a guided tour of Dan or Jordan's favorites would be a hoot.
