Hey everyone.

First, how'd you like the new artwork? It's made by Helleborus ( https://twitter.com/Helleborus_Gab ) and it's going to be used for the Annie cover, obviously :P I personally LOVE it, and it fits the mood perfectly. I have mixed the song, but letting it rest for a little bit is usually good for discovering any quirks or inconsistencies.

Anyway. Let me get to the point.

I was watching a video by Venus Theory yesterday, called "Making art in the age of content". Here's a link in case you're curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCWafMqJCnU&t=23s

Now...it spoke to me a lot. Because he reflects on some struggles I've had ever since starting this whole Youtube endeavor. And it has become ever more pressing for me since I decided to focus on Falconshield during 2024. My YT network is telling me that I need to produce more content, optimally 3-5 youtube shorts/week in order for optimal growth. And a couple of days ago I had a chat with a record label content manager that told me the same thing. So there's immense pressure to produce CONTENT, lots and lots of content...and I'm honestly so sick of it.

I'm writing, producing and releasing one song every month. I put my soul into it, making it the best that I can, and I want it to matter. I'm aware that most successful artists roll their eyes at that because... it's not smart. It's not. It's not catering to the "formula", and I won't grow or get a big paycheck. But I can't make myself do it. I don't want to cater to a formula that is designed to exploit people's attention. I don't have an instragram account, I certainly do not have a Tiktok account, and I want to keep it that way.

Call me old school or obsolete, but I'm utterly thankful for you. Your support is more valuable than ever, so thank you!

If there's anything extra I can do to make it worth your while, let me know.

/Josef
