Status update time!

I started doing this post this morning but got caught up in...family life with all it entails.
So last couple months have been pretty wild for me, both good and bad. I lost my job at Level Eight(studio closed) but got a pretty well paid gig so I'm good for the rest of the year. As a freelancer. It's a scary concept when you support for your family, but if I could choose freely, it's what I'd do long-term. If I can make it work financially. Time will tell I guess.
This Is War 7 has suffered a rather major setback :( I initially hired a motion graphics artist(video editor) to do the job, but long story short - he wasted 4 months of my(and our time) procrastinating and delivering absolute garbage. I finally cut him off, but lost 500 euro of the total budget to him. So now I've found a better and more reliable mographer, that's more expensive, but I'm not taking any chances this time. It was a huuuge bummer because this first one gave me an estimate of May 1st, which was complete bullshit, and now I'll be ecstatic if we can make the initial ETA of July 1st. We'll see, I'll keep you posted.
Exactly one month ago we suffered a personal tragedy of our oldest daughter being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. If you're unsure of what it is(it's definitely not type 2), you can look it up. It's a shitty ass autoimmune disease that requires a lot of care, with a quite complicated life-long treatment. I'm glad I'm working from home now and can always be on call to see to her needs. It's manageable, but it sucks so much.
