The Shure SM7B has been on my wishlist for ages. It's my dream mic, but I could never justify the purchase. My AT2020 is my baby and isn't going into retirement just yet, but I couldn't sleep tonight so I popped onto Amazon to look at all the cool things I'm gonna get for my new closet studio when my sister moves out.

And then I saw it.

The SM7B could be paid for in installments, with no extra fees or interest. $110 up front, and it could be at my house March 18.

I'm not normally such an impulse buyer, especially not for something that expensive, but I know three things to be absolutely true:

1. Making audios of all kinds is my dream job

2. I've longed for this exact mic

3. Paying in installments is easier on me

So I held my breath and made the purchase. I've been using the AT2020, first in USB and then in XLR form, for about a decade. This is the biggest upgrade I've made to my equipment since I started making audios. It's the biggest upgrade since I started making music, honestly.

None of this would've been possible without your direct support. I literally could not afford to invest in my future in audios without you, so thank you for that.

I'm so excited to try it out and make even better quality audios going forward. I think our celebration audio will be the perfect way to pop this cherry, don't you?
