I wrote this song before I was old enough to drink. I was around 16-17, with big dreams of making a name for myself, performing in coffee shops and posting my music online. I saved up $600 working at McDonald's, making $7.50/hour, and paid a guy with a home studio to help me record my EP when I was 18. This is one of the songs from that era. I'm 33 now, and I still remember what it was like to hear my own music played back to me over studio monitors. For my song this Sunday, I want to share that memory and the music I made when I was little more than a kid.
For this sing-a-song-Sunday (which is admittedly late, my apologies), I chose something from my first EP Wallflower. As a special thank you to all of you for pledging, you can download the song for free if you like!
