Good News and Bad News
Added 2023-10-22 17:05:23 +0000 UTCThe good news is I got my account back. The support ticket went through and discord reverted my email proper so I could sign in. I enabled 2FA and taking measures to re-secure it.
The bad news is that the server is lost. After taking my account, they gave themselves full administrative powers and stripped me of my own. I don't think there's any coming back from that so we'll just have to start fresh.
How I got hacked was simple, a client I had done business with and trusted apparently got hacked themselves and asked me to review a game they and some friends were working on, looking for feedback. I was convinced well enough to fall into the trap.
Apparently it's the newest scam running rampant on Discord and I wasn't made aware of it until it was too late.
So let me make the warning now: If anyone is acting strange and asking you to review a game and download a file from MEGA, do not download it, it WILL steal your discord.

I hope you can get back your server Vic. Discord does change administrators if an owner abandons the place. I don't see why they wouldn't let you back in. (the hacker has two accounts in there right now.)

2023-10-23 12:37:38 +0000 UTCI did try to open a ticket about the person inviting themselves as an administrator, they messaged me back saying that you could maybe open a ticket about it. They can't uninvite people or strip roles technically, but they can reverse actions that were made when your account was compromised
