Not only do we have a weak and alone Polnareff, but he also has to protect an even more defenseless human. Also, Araki is always good at making low life antagonists, but Alessi is really the lowest kind of scum. Finally, you pointed out that you though he would have perceived women as weaker, but I think that's why they made a point during his intro to have him ask the kid where his father *and* mother were before feeling safe to prey on him. P.S. I like what you said at the end, it's not about strength. Unlike most shonen shows about fighting, the battles in Jojo's are all a battle of wits.
