A Storm's Lullaby Page 142

A long time ago readers often asked me when Lullaby will finally realise that Tempest is Storm Monster.

A long time ago readers often asked me when Lullaby will finally realise that Tempest is Storm Monster. Up until now, she saw only what she wanted to see (the famous confirmation bias): good and caring Fizzy who never scared her. Now she is finally confronted with Tempest Shadow that shows up in her dreams: wearing an armour, surrounded by storm, dark, evil and dangerous.

The penny has dropped.

(The dialogue from the penultimate panel is from Page 107 ).

Perhaps worse for one than the other.

Welp, talk about the worst timing ever for that particular penny to drop.

Cheers :]

I really like the coloration, especially top right and bottom left. It really sells the mood.

why did you remove Tempest's shadow from panel 5? I thought that the final version was too dark already and people wouldn't see it. But perhaps you are right - I will add it back :) Oh yes, that's true! I will add that one quote as well, thank you ^^ I knew that I'd forget about something. I also kinda expected it to be really de-saturated or even grayscale ... because flashback. It is sepia, just like the other flashbacks ^^ Compare Lu's colours to that of the middle panel and you will see it's brownish and desaturated. However, I may desaturate it a bit more, to make sure.

The first panel is amazing, but why did you remove Tempest's shadow from panel 5? It was the the best part. I also kinda expected it to be really de-saturated or even grayscale ... because flashback. "I'm the scariest creature you'll ever meet" would also be a nice quote. And I'm more than a little surprised. Tempest immediately snapping out of it was the last thing I expected. Guess this monster really is a mom ... but should it be this easy? Was she just too pissed at Thistle and the emotional double-tap did the trick eventually ? Or is this just a temporary fix?

Panel 3, that moment in Despicable Me when Gru says "lightbulb" but with an opposite spin on the emotional scale.
