Chapter 127 ( PLAT )

At last, Yinsen arrived at the conference room, completing their small but powerful leadership circle.

It was remarkable that one of the world's most influential multinational corporations—a company with United Nations recognition and global humanitarian authority—operated with just three human personnel and one artificial intelligence. The White Queen's computational power handled all operational logistics, Yinsen managed international diplomacy, and Alice oversaw security operations. Everything else was efficiently outsourced to specialized contractors worldwide.

"I've called you both here because we have critical assignments to coordinate," Aidan announced as virtual displays materialized between the three of them. "First, let's address the mutant suppressant situation. Yinsen, Professor Xavier's people have contacted you about this matter, correct?"

"Indeed," Yinsen replied thoughtfully. "From a humanitarian perspective, the suppressant could benefit both mutants and humans if properly administered."

"The technology itself isn't the problem," Aidan agreed. "The issue is that it's creating a crisis of confidence among mutants who believe it's designed for genocide rather than genuine medical assistance. This paranoia stems directly from Worthington Labs' illegal human experimentation."

He gestured to intelligence files displayed on the screens. "The perception of this suppressant depends entirely on who controls it. If we possess the technology instead of a company conducting barbaric experiments, mutant resistance will largely evaporate."

"You want to acquire the suppressant technology?" Yinsen asked, immediately grasping the implications.

"Exactly. Once we control the suppressant, we can implement proper information campaigns and establish voluntary vaccination centers at Baymax distribution points. No coercion, no forced injections—just medical choice available to those who want it."

The analogy was simple but powerful: would you trust medicine offered by someone who had tortured you, or by a doctor dedicated to healing?

"The laboratory is owned by a food and pharmaceutical conglomerate called Worthington Industries, which has obvious government backing," Aidan continued. "I need you to negotiate transferring the suppressant technology to Baymax Corporation."

"And if they refuse?" Yinsen asked, though he suspected Aidan already had contingencies planned.

"If they're reasonable, they'll see the wisdom in cooperation. If they prove stubborn..." Aidan's expression hardened slightly. "We release documented evidence of their human experimentation programs to international human rights organizations. As a UN-recognized humanitarian organization, our accusations carry considerable weight."

While Beast and other mutant representatives had made similar allegations through official channels, their complaints had been buried in American bureaucracy. But when Baymax Medical Technology—a pillar of the UN Human Rights Council—presented evidence, governments would be forced to act decisively.

"I'll begin negotiations immediately," Yinsen agreed.

"Before formal talks begin, demand they release all mutant test subjects as a gesture of good faith. Our company will provide them sanctuary."

"But we don't typically hire traditional employees," Yinsen pointed out, looking puzzled.

"This relates to our broader strategy," Aidan explained, calling up video footage of various incidents involving mutants who'd lost control of their abilities. "Power often corrupts, whether the wielder is inherently good or evil. These psychological changes fuel the prejudice between humans and mutants."

The displayed scenes showed devastating destruction caused by mutants across multiple locations—collateral damage that reinforced negative stereotypes.

"To address this systemic problem, we'll recruit mutants who decline suppressant treatment into Alice's security division. I'll coordinate the details with Professor Xavier in the coming days."

"Excellent," Alice said, her curiosity about mutant capabilities evident. "I look forward to working with them."

"That handles the suppressant situation. Alice, I have another critical assignment for you."

Alice nodded attentively as Aidan manipulated the holographic display, revealing the detailed 3D map of New York City marked with thousands of colored indicators.

"Within one week, this city faces probable alien invasion. Your mission isn't combat—leave that to others. Instead, you'll deploy spatial teleportation devices to every green-marked location."

Both Alice and Yinsen stared at him in shock. "Alien invasion?" they asked simultaneously.

"When the devices are positioned, coordinate with our Baymax units to facilitate civilian evacuation. Escort, don't engage. Let the military handle the fighting."

"Shouldn't we issue public warnings?" Yinsen asked with obvious concern.

"Public announcements would trigger mass panic and civil unrest," Aidan shook his head. "Besides, this is still partially speculative."

"The mutant recruits will assist with evacuation operations," he continued, revealing his true strategic purpose. This crisis would allow mutants to demonstrate their dedication to protecting human lives, dramatically improving public perception of both mutants and Baymax Corporation.

"Remember—we are not combatants," Aidan emphasized firmly. "Don't engage in unnecessary heroics. Focus on saving lives."

"Understood," Alice replied, though her expression carried obvious questions.

"Focus on these priorities for now. The White Queen can provide detailed operational briefings." Aidan rose to leave, but Yinsen's voice stopped him.

"Wait—what exactly caused this alien invasion?"

Aidan glanced at Alice, then returned to address Yinsen's concerns. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s weapons research triggered this crisis. Let them clean up their own mess initially. If the situation becomes truly uncontainable, I have methods to resolve it before it spreads globally."

His confidence wasn't mere bravado. Between his advanced technology and mystical abilities, the Chitauri fleet posed a manageable threat. More importantly, this crisis offered opportunities to achieve several strategic objectives simultaneously.

After reassuring Yinsen, Aidan left the conference room, only to find Alice waiting in the corridor.

"Missing me already?" he asked with amusement, noting her lingering presence.

"I haven't seen you in over a year," Alice replied with a genuine smile. "I've missed having you around."

"How has life been, experiencing humanity firsthand?" Aidan asked as they walked together through the building's corridors.

"Fulfilling, actually. There's been enough action to keep things interesting."

"After we resolve the mutant situation, you should have more time for personal pursuits."

"I don't mind the work. I just want to be useful to you."

"Well, I believe in rewarding dedicated service," Aidan smiled warmly. "Though I'm curious—why the sudden compassion for ordinary people? You're even willing to help mutants now. That's quite different from your previous priorities."

Alice had witnessed the hand incident and understood that Aidan's altruism typically extended only to those he cared about personally.

"I'm doing this for a friend named Logan," Aidan explained simply. "And the mutant community represents a powerful force that lacks proper organization and guidance. They need an institution that can channel their abilities constructively."
