Mal pushed himself hard just defending against a raiding group of peak third gate ants, and some of the help he can go get is likely edgar, or if its time for the youngins to shine: ivy, ed, liz, octavian, and their assorted bonds are there.

2025-01-15 14:21:18 +0000 UTCI think this is a greed check and if we vote for Mal to attack, we’ll lose a lot of points for using the teleport bracelet. If Mal goes and sends for backup with Dusk while standing guard, though, he could get a lot of points for setting up a multi species offensive with ants and humans, bringing back information on just how dangerous and invasive the dessolants are, where the gold growth thing is, etc, and also get rewarded by the ants, potentially.

2025-01-15 14:20:54 +0000 UTCDefensive fighting will be easier, and Dusk gives us point insurance if we send her. Mal struggled to beat a raid party only, and the myrmekes are defensive ants anyway, so attacking is even harder.

2025-01-15 14:07:45 +0000 UTCThe myrmekes aren't exactly combatants. I don't think Mal has enough fire power to deal with the desolants mostly on his own. If he goes in he's probably going to get in over his head and need to use the teleport braclet. I think this is a situation where mal needs to call in the big guns from port ruby.
